Aspire is a social enterprise that provides work skills training and employment opportunities for marginalised workers, e.g. the unemployed, the homeless, recovering addicts and ex-offenders. We collaborate with other organisations, e.g. prisons, probation, housing associations, Job Centres etc., to identify the individuals whom we are most able to help.

Aspire is an Oxfordshire based employment charity which creates and brokers accessible, meaningful work placement, training and paid employment opportunities for individuals facing complex barriers to work - including on our own social enterprises, delivering grounds and property maintenance to commercial, public and private customers.

Aspire runs its own 'Through the Gate' project, engaging offenders in HMP Spring Hill and Bullingdon, as well as ex-offenders in the community in Oxfordshire, Milton Keynes and High Wycombe.

We work with a wide range of individuals and organisations across the social spectrum, both at a local and community level, and national statutory bodies such as the NHS and Criminal Justice sectors. At Atrium we work with some of the most excluded people in our communities and our expertise and ‘can-do’ approach means we are able to offer bespoke wellbeing solutions that are value for money.

Our focus is upon long-term recovery and produce effective treatment outcomes in relation to sustained change and improvement, based on evidence based interventions i.e. the most effective, safe and cost effective approaches that have been validated by documented scientific evidence.

AVision for Empowerment CIC is a social enterprise that believes everyone has the ability to achieve success regardless of their past history. Our tailored inspirational workshops and holistic accredited programmes motivate and inspire people to achieve employment, self-employment or to further their education and careers through soft and hard outcomes. We have over nine years’ We have delivered in the community, employment agencies and the criminal justice system within 21 prisons across the UK including the West Midlands, North East, South East, East Midlands and the Yorkshire and Humber region in partnership with Ixion Holdings, APM. Staffordshire West Midlands Community Rehabilitation Company, Pertemps People Development Group, Catch22, Milton Keynes College, and National Career Service leading over 4000 participants along the road to desistance and to achieve long term sustainable career success.

We are a Community Interest Company bringing business and IT skills to those who need it most. Our professional training is provided alongside dedicated learner support services to provide employment opportunities within local communities.

Our support services include online coaching, dedicated mentors, career advice and guidance and signpost services to other local community organisations specialising in a variety of areas. By partnering with local businesses we are able to provide work experience, work placements, volunteering opportunities and internships for all learners that complete a course with us.

BAC-IN is a culturally specific, Peer Led, award winning, 'grass roots' drug and alcohol recovery service. In 2003 BAC-IN developed a unique and successful 'transformative recovery' programme designed to help the Black and Minority Ethnic communities with recovery focused and offender rehabilitation support.

BAC-IN uses an integrated and culturally competent approach, which offers a diverse range of services designed to maximise transformative recovery, supporting individuals to take personal responsibility so that they may achieve freedom from addiction and become productive individuals within their communities.

Whilst BAC-IN is a culturally specific service, it is not culturally exclusive. We work in partnership across all sections of society, sharing good practice, consortia work and consultancy.

Back on Track is a Manchester charity that enables disadvantaged adults to make lasting, positive changes in their lives. We work with people who are going through a process of recovery or rehabilitation, having been through problems with offending, alcohol or drugs, homelessness or mental health.

We have a busy and welcoming learning centre in central Manchester where we offer a range of support and activities including training courses, one to one guidance and work experience.

Our progression team work closely with local employers to provide support with employability. We have an on-site cafe and training kitchen which allows us to offer work placements and employment.

We are part of a network of charities who are working across Greater Manchester to deliver The Wellbeing Service, part of the region’s integrated resettlement programmes. The programme works with people on probation to improve their mental health and wellbeing, through both 1:1 and group interventions.

Bail Trust will be working with ex offenders offering Training & Employment Opportunities from the new centre based in Waltham Forrest where we will work with and employ mentors & volunteers once we are up and running. The rehabilitation programme is based on the organisation delivering the complete package with an assessment of needs for day treatment services along with functional skills test diagnostics for numeracy literacy ICT then we tailor a programme for each service user where we will deliver support right through including vocational training in construction not only job ready training also help with employment and any barriers each service user is facing as a new start the concentration will be (construction) how ever we will be looking to expand and grow our net work to help and support pathways in to different industries and sectors.

Barnardo’s runs over 1,000 services for children and families in local communities across the UK. Our work includes reaching and helping children who have been sexually exploited, young people leaving the care system, children with a parent in prison and families struggling to cope. We find loving adoptive homes and foster placements for children in care.

Barnardo's delivers family engagement services and visit centres in Dorset and West Midlands, including evidence based parenting programmes, one-to-one case work, and innovative engagement programmes to support families of prisoners and relationships with significant others. We have specialist knowledge working with vulnerable groups including working with families of veterans who are in prison and extensive experience working with care leavers.

Our award-winning approach, BBM, helps people develop their soft skills (e.g. communication, self-motivation, time-management, team-working), improving employability and wellbeing. BBM produces quantitative evidence of the changes that are made.
We support organisations through our consultancy, using BBM Diagnostic to identify and remove barriers in systems and processes that stop organisations making the most of their people and doing their best work.

Basis Yorkshire supports indoor and street sexworkers in Leeds with information and access to services including sexual health, housing, physical and mental health support, benefits, support regarding sexual and other forms of violence and advocacy on behalf of sexworkers. We also deliver a specialist one to one service for young people experiencing sexual exploitation and abuse in Leeds, Bradford and Hull. We also offer training nationally in all our areas of expertise and related areas and campaign for the rights of our service users.

Beam is a social enterprise that delivers tailored 1-2-1 support to people in prison or on probation to progress them into secure employment and housing.
We work with 35 local authorities nationally and have been commissioned by the DWP across London, in Scotland, and the Midlands. Our proven model - which combines person-centred 1-2-1 support, the lived experience of our caseworkers, and the power of our innovative technology, has enabled 97% of our service users to maintain desistance. Since our founding in 2017, we have supported over 1,000 people to achieve high-quality employment and housing, despite being out of work for 5 years on average. Our comprehensive in-work and tenancy sustainment support has ensured 86% of our service users sustain employment for over 3 months and 96% sustain tenancies for over 6 months.

Beating Time runs two continuous prison programmes with the aim of improving mental health and social inclusion in prison and employment opportunities on release. Choirs Beating Time is our weekly group singing and performance programme. Inside Job is our peer- and lived experience-led employment programme working in prison and supported by our team through-the-gate and on release.

Behind the Curtain (BTC) CIC is a Community Interest Company dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive space for the LGBTQ+ community. We focus on emotional well being, personal growth, and fostering meaningful connections. Our services include one to one coaching, group wellness sessions, and Accountability coaching that offer individuals the opportunity to explore their identity, heal from past trauma, and build resilience.
Through our Inside Out Program, we support LGBTQ+ prisoners by providing Accountability coaching and wellness activities to help them focus on . Additionally, we host creative and educational workshops encouraging self care, personal expression, and community building. At BTC, we are committed to empowering individuals to lead healthier, happier lives while creating strong, supportive connections with others.

Belong aims to put the needs of victims and perpetrators of crime at the heart of all that we do. Our vision is of a world where there is hope, rehabilitation and recovery for victims and perpetrators of crime. Providing long term, individualised responses to conflict and crime is core to our mission.

Our services include mentoring, art therapy and restorative justice interventions. We work with children, young people and adults in custodial and community settings, with a specific focus on people who are hard to engage. We also deliver successful restorative justice and mediation training to professionals in the criminal justice sector.

Beyond Recovery provides a cost-effective, evidence-based intervention enabling people in prison to uncover their innate mental well-being and improve their mental health and behaviour in prison. This enables them to have a stronger sense of purpose and to live a more satisfying and law-abiding life on release. We are committed to growth and impact through empowering prisoners to help themselves and each other through our Apprentice programs and Academy.

Post COVID-19 we have developed a Remote Service including Self-Study material, guided DVD’s and facilitator guided one-to-ones for prison residents. Online mentoring and guidance for our returning residents and their families in the community. And a community voluntary organisation led by people with lived experience.

Impact is achieved through personal realisation, or insight. Outcomes include significant increase in mental wellbeing, purpose in life and pro-social behaviour, and decrease in violence.

Beyond the Gate is a magazine published by ex-offenders for people entering and leaving custody. The point of the magazine is to encapsulate information that people in those situations need, and to sign-post them in the right direction to get any help they need. As well as features by these support groups and organisations, the magazine will also feature stories from people who have successfully broken their own offending cycles and are now leading crime-free lives.

Chance 2 Change is an 8 session group based programme, using the cognitive behavioural therapy to reduce negativity and marginalisation in our communities. Each group works intensively with up to 10 clients and seeks to nurture good where otherwise negative behaviour can become prevalent. We aim to make other interventions more effective and responsive by creating a solid foundation of emotional strength upon which other services can be used to build a complete and robust package of support.

Without tackling the underlying causes of why marginalisation exits in the first place it is very difficult to bring about lasting change and therefore it is necessary to alter the thinking patterns of participants before addressing the practical issues otherwise their underlying emotions will always cause conflict both in themselves and others. We believe and have demonstrated that change must start from within and we are best placed to deliver this.
