Business in Focus is a social enterprise working to support enterprise in Wales for 34 years, delivering business space, programmes of business advice, support and funding. Our headquarters are in Bridgend, with operational premises across Wales, including Carmarthen and Newtown, but located mainly in South Wales. In response to the pandemic, we are providing virtual support, by phone, video conferencing and online workshops which extends our reach UK-wide.We have been accepted on to the probation framework to deliver ETE and are interested in a partnership approach.
Our self-employment support helps individuals, regardless of their background, to develop entrepreneurial skills/behaviours and improve their chances of managing a successful, sustainable business. We aim to increase motivation, generate business ideas, develop transferable skills and a positive peer network before referring to mainstream business support for advice and guidance or test-trading.

C2C Social Action covers Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes which provides person centred support to offenders, helping them turn away from crime. Specialising in community work, we provide this service to people regardless of faith, or none, and regardless of their crimes, age, ethnic or cultural background, gender, sexuality or disability.

C2C is a Northamptonshire wide Christian charity which provides holistic, person centred support to offenders, helping them turn away from crime. Specialising in community work, we provide this service to people regardless of faith, or none, and regardless of their crimes, age, ethnic or cultural background, gender, sexuality or disability.

CAIS is a registered charity and leading voluntary sector provider of personal support services in Wales. It helps people who are having problems with addictions, mental health, personal development and employment – as well as offering assistance and information to their families and friends. Its wide range of services includes residential treatment and rehabilitation, counselling, peer mentoring, supporting people in their homes, assisting people back into work or education, group work and other motivational interventions. CAIS can also offer a comprehensive range of training courses, together with training and support for employers. It is very active in the field of employment interventions including the development of our own social enterprises. CAIS is committed to working in partnership with others in keeping with the All Wales Strategy – Tackling Substance Misuse in Wales. All of its services aim to help people to recover from addiction and rebuild normal, productive lifestyles.

Cambridge Cyrenians provides supported accommodation for single, homeless, men and women. We offer a range of services, including accommodation specifically for ex-offenders. Residents are accommodated in shared houses, rather than large hostels and are actively encouraged to become involved in the day to day running of their house.

Working in a Garden Centre is a good place to learn about horticulture and retailing; about plants and people. For people who enjoy working outdoors, meeting people, variety, learning and keeping physically fit then this career could be ideal. Camden Garden Centre is a not-for-profit-taking commercial business which was established in 1983. We offer a number of “trainee” places to people who have had to face difficulties and disadvantage in life an opportunity to access the job market . In so doing we provide an opportunity to enter a career that is rewarding and interesting. Because of the special commitment of the Centre people find us friendly, encouraging and supportive.

CAP promotes and supports enterprise in all its forms. Our work is therefore broad - from supporting business start-up initiatives to personal development programmes to social enterprise incubation. Our main prison services are:

Cardboard Citizens is a professional theatre company making Forum plays with and for the homeless or those at risk of homelessness. We run regular workshops and perform in hostels and prisons. Alongside these activities, we offer tailored information, advice and guidance with a focus on education, employment and training, but we also signpost to other agencies. We also have a youth theatre programme for 16- to 25-year-olds. You can refer to us at any time of year and also book us for free Forum Theatre performances in your prison.

We also provide The Art of Engagement training to organisations and staff, using tried and tested theatre-based techniques to enable staff to engage in a more meaningful way with their clients.

The CLA works with all care leavers over the age of 16. We are guided by the views of our membership and thus hav0a wide range of areas of interest and activity. However, our work can be grouped into five main areas:

•User Led Support - A Network Project, group support, social networking site and virtual mechanisms to help people connect.
•Projects - Areas of work with specific outcomes – young people, access to records, speaking out, media.
•Training and Assessment - We work with a wide range of organisations to improve service delivery to care leavers through training and quality assessment.
•Advice, information and signposting - Focus on informing care leavers about their rights through signposting to additional support services and developing our guides and fact sheets while providing some individual casework.
•Research, Policy and Campaigns - We conduct, collate and promote research about care leavers

Career Connect is a charity whose core business is the provision of all-age careers information, advice, guidance and support. We enable people to make realistic choices, based on sound information, to help them achieve their potential in learning, training and employment. Established in 2001, we deliver services across NW England providing: The National Careers Service across NW NOMS CFO Evolution contract for NW of England through our wholly owned subsidiary Achieve. We deliver a programme that prepares and supports offenders into employment with a 32% sustained outcome rate. Careers information, advice and guidance services for young people (formerly badged as Connexions) across Greater Merseyside and Salford. Unlocking Potential social impact bond funded programme to support 4200 young people with behavioural, moderate mental health and wellbeing issues prepare for and enter the world of work. We also have staff embedded in Trouble Families teams and an adviser in Hindley YOI.

Carers Federation delivers a wide range of Health and Social Care support and training. In relation to Transforming Rehabilitation we provide a number of projects (mentoring, befriending, counselling, family working) responding to the casual link between caring and the risk of offending. We have been working in HMP Whatton since 2014 in line with the implementation of the new Care Act delivering a Social Care scheme, with prisoners assisting prisoners who have difficulty living day to day life due to disabilities, age, communication and mobility issues. Previous work has also included working with families affected by substance misuse and the impact of the criminal justice system on family dynamics and through the gate mentoring working in partnership with voluntary and statutory organisations.
We also deliver advocacy training throughout the UK and can provide bespoke training to prison staff and prisoners on setting up and running a Social Care Scheme.

Since CFPL (formerly CFEO) founded in 2004, men and women have been supported through mentoring to move forward with their lives after release from prison. In 2020 a process of reimagining began - reimagining the way we support prison leavers, reimagining church communities, reimagining the transformation of society. We asked ourselves the question:

We are all made in the image of God. Through the Bridge Programme, we aim to encourage and empower men and women to grow in their faith and character, and connect them with loving church communities.

Anchor House has 119 rooms with ensuite and e-learning facilities and offers supported housing to homeless men and women aged 18 to 60 with a local connection to London Borough of Newham. We design, deliver and host an holistic range of life-skills and educational training courses for our resident population and the local community as well as innovative volunteering and placement opportunities using our TimeBank. We work closely with statutory agencies and other third sector organisations including the police (including BTP)and across the agencies represented on the London Borough of Newham Community Safety Partnership. We have a fruitful network of corporate partners in the City to underpin our work and are about to construct new facilities for community engagement, education and training, including 25 move-on flats to promote sustained independent living. Caritas Care's ACE (Assisted Community Engagement) Project provides an assisted seamless transition from custody to community and reduces the risk of reoffending by ensuring that essential needs are met without it being necessary to revert to a life of crime. Support is provided by volunteers and paid staff to address their needs, as identified by NOMS.

Carney's Community, a registered charity, gets disadvantaged and excluded young people off the street and away from a life of crime and despair by giving them skills, discipline and self respect.
We achieve this through a combination of group activities (with a focus on boxing fitness) and one to one mentoring and personal development.
Our approach is unusual and particularly resource intensive but ultimately effective because we recognise that creating lasting change takes time, hard work and dedication.
Our work reduces offending, re-offending and anti-social behaviour, whilst improving social mobility and community cohesion. Consequently we improve the quality of life for the communities we serve.

Catch22 is a social business, a not for profit business with a social mission. For over 200 years we have designed and delivered services that build resilience and aspiration in people and communities.

Our 1600 colleagues work at every stage of the social welfare cycle, supporting 44,000 individuals from cradle to career. CatZero is youth development charity supporting individuals across on their journey into employment, education and training. We specifically work with disengaged and marginalised individuals who struggle to access mainstream support. Our aim is to improve a young person’s prospects by changing their outlook on life.

We want young people to achieve their goals of moving into employment, education or training and at the same time to live healthier and more fulfilling lives. Our efforts are firmly focused on enabling every participant to address the key factors that are known to lead to successful outcomes:

We work in both rural and urban areas across the county of Hertfordshire. We provide infrastructure support to all communities plus host diverse Networks: Rural Issues, Village Halls X 4, and Community Energy. We deliver the Play Area Scheme in HMP The Mount; Community Garden St Albans. We also provide training to enable people to enter the labour market. We provide consultancy services: Health & Safety; Risk Assessments, Finance; Business advice - sustainability and workforce development.

We facilitate educational programmes to children and young people focusing on the consequences of crime and providing them with an informed choice on their own life direction. What enables us to do this is 5 years of experience of our work conducted as a charity, from which we have sustained our charitable
objectives through the CIC. Our primary aim is to educate youngsters about how crime effects all it touches, acting as a deterrent & also a conduit to positive progression. What enables us to achieve this is our unique approach, relying on testimony of rehabilitated ex-offenders and victims of crime and also our
innovative workshops including joint enterprise, family perspective, gun gang & knife crime, drugs & alcohol, victim impact, legal aspects and many others including our mobile CELL experience (a well publicised insight into prison life and the implications of offending). We aid reintegration of ex-offenders
by supporting their progression, preventing re-offending.
