We advise, advocate and campaign for families whose children are involved with, or need, children services. We provide free and confidential advice to parents and family members. Our advisers help explain the maze of childcare law and local authority processes, with the aim of helping more children to remain living safely within their own families.

The Fawcett Society, the UK's leading campaigner for gender equality, campaigns for economic, social and political rights for women. We work to make a difference for women offenders by campaigning for legislative change and influencing policy and practice in the Criminal Justice System.

FearFree provides support to people with experience of domestic abuse and sexual violence, through one-to-one and structured group initiatives. We work with victims and survivors of domestic abuse and sexual violence, as well as perpetrators of abuse.

Fearless Youth Association (FYA) support young people through active engagement, supporting them to refrain from youth and gang violence, tackling knife crime while supporting them to become active, responsible, confident and mindful citizens. FYA offers young people who are not in education, employment or training the opportunity to feel a sense of belonging, come together, learn from other young people, and build confidence and skills that can keep them away from violence on the streets.

Feathers Futures brings women together into
a connected community group, providing a safe, non-judgemental environment where
women can have a voice, express feelings, be heard and understood. The aim of all our
work is to empower and enable women to make positive choices about their futures.
Primarily working within Great Yarmouth, our services are focused around a women’s hub
offering information, advice and guidance to women over the age of 18. The hub is based
centrally in Great Yarmouth, a coastal town which records some of highest levels of social
and economic deprivation in the UK.
A range of courses and workshops are delivered from the hub, in areas such as confidence
building, resilience, domestic abuse, preparing for employment, creative writing, looking at
health and well-being as well as others; delivered in conjunction with other organisations.

The Feltham Community Chaplaincy Trust is a multi-faith mentoring project providing support and advocacy to young men leaving Feltham. Now in their tenth year Feltham Community Chaplaincy Trust match trained volunteer mentors based locally to their young mentees provide support both inside and outside of prison. The project has achieved Approved Provider status from the Mentoring and Befriending Foundation.

Finchale Training College is a unique specialist provider of vocational training programmes for unemployed disabled adults. Based in Durham for 60 years, it trains 200 students for work ranging from accountancy to woodcrafts. 75% of its students are local, 25% are national. Courses are funded by the Department for Work & Pensions.

Fine Cell Work trains and pays prisoners to do craftwork in their cells to encourage motivation, improve mental health and build employability skills. FCW is geared to long-term, male and female, high risk offenders who stay on the programme for 2 to 10 years. Our goal is to enable prisoners to gain social and employment skills so they can desist from re-offending in the future. Prisoners on the programme work for 20-40 hours a week in their cells.

We have a workforce of approximately 250 prisoners across 30 prisons. The apprenticeship training is done by 50 skilled volunteers. The prisoners make hand-embroidered quilts, cushions, clothes, rugs and furniture covers which are sold internationally and to museums and designers.

Our aim is to enable prisoners to gain motivation and “work-readiness” by doing cellwork and to follow on with further employment preparation in workshops where they can do accredited training in soft furnishings, machine embroidery and upholstery.

We strive to make a difference to the health and wellbeing of disadvantaged people and communities by motivating healthy behaviour change. We specialise in delivering person focussed, outcomes driven Behaviour Change services and skills training to people and professionals living and working in the North East.

Provide support to homeless people to move them forward in their lives and address the underlying issues which have resulted in homelessness or threat of eviction. Providing:

Fitness Rush Community CIC was formed on the 9th August 2022 by its founder Liam Rushmer, with the main
focus of continuing the private personal training developed at Fitness Rush Ltd in Old Hurst, Cambridgeshire to
include wider communities, deprived areas and address homelessness. The usp targets individuals who would like
to use exercise as a tool to better themselves and learn sustainable lifestyle practices to support their growth and career pathway potential. By initially working alongside Fitness Rush Mobile, individuals can enjoy exercise at their homes, public spaces or workplaces, which will dramatically reduce certain barriers, when faced with any new challenging prospect.
Our qualification centre helps learners gain knowledge about their body, nutrition and sustainable lifestyle choices, which can be used both in their own lives and also towards a new career in the leisure industry.

The Flintshire Neighbourhood Watch Association works to build a safe, secure environment that embraces diversity, race and faith and spans generations. We support vulnerable residents and neighbourhoods, and respond to people's concerns, enabling them to be, and feel, safe, secure and respected.

Just started up, following on from some work before lockdown on mindfulness & trauma with prison population. Very early days, but to start a mindfulness for trauma group in prison, and also training participants in delivering the group programme. Working on the links between trauma, and abuse, violence and addiction and using behavioural and group techniques to heal.

We are the UK’s only Registered Charity dedicated to transforming the food served in British prisons. We work with prisons on the subject of food - to improve the lives of those eating it and support the people making it. Our aim is to positively impact the health and wellbeing of prisoners, by delivering practical food-based education, promoting healthy eating and designing exciting food and drink initiatives.

Our projects and activities cover every aspect of food, cooking, eating and hospitality. We work with prisons on a bespoke basis, co-designing original initiatives that enable prisons to champion wholesome, tasty and exciting food. Our work is shaped around each unique establishment and united by our philosophy of wholesome food for everyone in society.

Food Matters Foundation is a charity that works to see healthy, sustainable, fair food become a reality for everybody, every day. We work to deliver change in policy and practice through innovative, participatory, citizen-led, whole systems approaches. Food Matters has developed a unique voice in the food sector and a highly successful way of working that can help individuals, communities, groups, businesses and other organisations develop, deliver and evaluate ground-breaking, food policy work and locally relevant initiatives.

A major focus of Food Matters’ current work programme is on food system reform across the penal sector including services that encompass ‘at risk’ of offending, prisoners and probation to change food policy and the food environment to better support prisoners and ex-offenders to access healthier food choices to improve health and mental well-being and reduce reoffending.

We are doing this through a project called Food Matters Inside and Out.

Since 1885, Forces Employment Charity's aim has been to help those leaving and those who have left the Armed Forces to find and to remain in employment throughout their working lives. We aim to make the client 'Job Ready' by signposting them to bespoke support required using our Project Nova network of support and tracking this via our Nova Support team prior to finding them the right employment choice.
Project Nova is an early intervention scheme working in conjunction mainly with the Police and NHS dealing with Ex Military personnel who have been arrested or are on the periphery of doing so. Project Nova works with many partner organisations including HMPPS & CRCs and local authorities along with numerous military charities.

The Forgiveness Project collects and shares stories from individuals who have rebuilt their lives following hurt and trauma. As part of our work we deliver RESTORE, an intensive, group-based programme, centred on the stories of victims and perpetrators of crime. Its overall aim is to contribute to the rehabilitation process for offenders, by preparing and supporting them emotionally to effect change in their lives both in the immediate and longer term.

It does this by:
1. Developing empathy by helping offenders understand the impact of their actions on others.
2. Opening offenders’ minds to an alternative way of viewing themselves and the world.
3. Practically supporting ex-offenders in their move away from crime and desire to make reparation.
4. Assisting victim recovery through witnessing and acknowledgement.

Forward Assist Ltd is a registered charity dedicated to supporting former servicemen and women in England and Wales.
Forward Assist's ‘veteran specific’ projects offer support and guidance to former servicemen and women experiencing difficulties in adjusting to a new life as a civilian. Forward Assist support programmes include activities for all ages and physical & mental abilities. These activities are particularly relevant for former servicemen and women who are unemployed, experiencing homelessness, have experience of social exclusion or have involvement with the Criminal Justice System and are aimed at reintegrating veterans into civilian life.

We provide housing support and complementary services to adult and young offenders, having developed specialist support services for MAPPA offenders, domestic violence perpetrators, PPOs, etc. to reduce reoffending. We provide peer mentors to work with offenders, and aim to provide employment opportunities for our customers within our services.

FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology) is the UK's leading media arts centre, based in Liverpool. Offering a unique programme of exhibitions, film and participant-led art projects, we use the power of creative technology to inspire and enrich lives. As part of our Communities and Health programme we have been working with Veterans to create digital projects for the past 3 years. As part of this programme (Veterans in Practice), FACT has been developing our work further to extend our understanding of the position of Veterans within the Criminal Justice Setting and extend our reach of collaborative work with Veterans. Exact numbers of former Armed Service personnel in prison in Britain is at present unknown and figures are widely contested. It is believed that the number represents ‘a significant subset of the adult male prison population and by occupation, potentially the largest’. We are now working to explore what it means to be a Veteran within the Prison system.
