Birth Companions is a unique charity which supports women experiencing severe disadvantage during pregnancy, birth and early parenting. We are the UK’s leading organisation working in this area, with widely acknowledged expertise in the needs of pregnant women and new mothers facing severe disadvantage both in prison and the community.

The women we support face a range of issues and challenges including mental health problems, substance misuse, a history of domestic and sexual violence, trafficking, experience of detention and human rights violations overseas. They are particularly vulnerable during their pregnancies due to the effects of poor health, poverty, lack of support from family and friends as well as isolation.
Our overall aim is to empower women and help them to give their babies best possible start in life.

We also seek to raise awareness and to influence changes in policy and practice to improve conditions for the women we work with.

BLAST Foundation is a Christian "Through The Gate" Resettlement organisation, working with prisoners and ex-offenders and their families of all faiths and no faiths. BLAST aim to be provider of choice, for prisons and probation trusts wishing to reduce recidivism and improve resettlement for prison inmates who want to transform their lives and break their cycle of re-offending. BLAST achieves this through our transformation, employability & business programmes delivered in prison. These programmes combine and are supported by BLASTs mentor and resettlement services, to support ex-offenders and their families in the difficult task of re-integrating in society

C2C Social Action covers Northamptonshire and Milton Keynes which provides person centred support to offenders, helping them turn away from crime. Specialising in community work, we provide this service to people regardless of faith, or none, and regardless of their crimes, age, ethnic or cultural background, gender, sexuality or disability.

Clean Break uses theatre to keep the subject of women in prison on the cultural radar, helping to reveal the damage caused by the failures of the criminal justice system. Through our unique work, we raise difficult questions, inspire debate, and help to effect profound and positive change in the lives of women with experience of the criminal justice system.

Since 1979, Clean Break has been the only women’s theatre company of its kind, and we continue to inspire playwrights and captivate audiences with our ground-breaking plays on the complex theme of women and crime.

Through theatre workshops and projects in prisons and in the community which build confidence, resilience and wellbeing, we transform the lives of women who have experienced the criminal justice system or who are at risk of entering it.

We support women leaving prison from the moment of release through peer mentor matching with a lived experience individual who provides support, signposting and a buddy system.
We then provide a 4 day workshop program for exoffenders : "Digital Skills for Work," "Employability for Exoffenders," "Building Resilience - Emotional & Financial," and "Lived Experience - Owning Your Story," Our 4 day program takes women from behind bars to boardrooms and supports meaningful employment. Our core goals are to support women in reconnecting with others, their communities and to rebuild their lives with access meaningful well paid work – not just run-of-the-mill traditional employment prison pathways. We believe in aspiration and inspiration for all, empowerment, education and employment as tenets of reducing reoffending and creating life-long stability and rehabilitation. We recruit, train and supervise Volunteer Mentors to offer both sides of the gate support to people coming out of prison, to live in Norfolk. Our Mentors offer tailored one-to-one practical and emotional support to Clients before during and after their transition back into the community. We assist with seeking accommodation, managing finances and accessing benefits, making behavioural change (e.g. addictions, anti-social activities), taking part in positive activities (including employment, volunteering or training), improving relationships and peer networks and support people to make internal change (hope, motivation, self-worth, confidence, managing emotions). We provide advocacy support and accompany clients to appointments with other statutory and voluntary sector organisations. Our work is not time limited and we support Clients and Mentors of all faiths and none.

Criminon UK is a registered charity delivering distance learning life skills courses in many UK prisons. We are members of LASER Learning Awards (formerly the Open College Network South East Region), and have four courses accredited. Our accredited course "Understanding and Overcoming Addiction", aligns with learning outcomes of the NOCN National Qualification Unit's 'Introduction to Drug Awareness', Level 1. Our other accredited courses deal with literacy at Entry Level 2 and Level 1 and a simple guide to better living and self-respect at Entry Level 2. Further life skills courses we offer deal with Parenting, Communication and Personal Integrity. We also offer a Mentor Course which gives the offender the skills to help others with their literacy and allows them to give something back, helping them achieve greater confidence and self-respect.

Cruse Bereavement Support aims to promote the well-being of bereaved people and to enable anyone bereaved by death to understand their grief and cope with their loss. Services are free to bereaved people. The charity provides support and offers information, advice, education and training services. Doorway Women's Services provides specialist support to sex workers and women who have experienced sexual exploitation and coercion. We recognise that women who experience multiple disadvantage and sexual violence face many barriers to accessing support due to stigma and predjudice and lack of understanding of the impact of trauma. Doorway provides gender and trauma informed intensive one to one holistic support and advocacy around identified needs, through the gate support, outreach services, drop-in, specialist Independent Sexual Violence Advisor service, safety and sexual health advice. Doorway Women's Service also provides tailored support around transition age 18-25yrs for young women who have experienced sexual violence and exploitation.

Since 1885, Forces Employment Charity's aim has been to help those leaving and those who have left the Armed Forces to find and to remain in employment throughout their working lives. We aim to make the client 'Job Ready' by signposting them to bespoke support required using our Project Nova network of support and tracking this via our Nova Support team prior to finding them the right employment choice.
Project Nova is an early intervention scheme working in conjunction mainly with the Police and NHS dealing with Ex Military personnel who have been arrested or are on the periphery of doing so. Project Nova works with many partner organisations including HMPPS & CRCs and local authorities along with numerous military charities.

We provide through the gate mentoring for ex offenders across Warwickshire using volunteers supported by staff, including prison pick up and pre release work.Our community mentoring supports both practical and emotional needs. We also run a Welfare Fund and deliver a Family Support Project to encourage maintaining family ties and dealing with negative stereotypes . We recognise the additional difficulties for parents and BAME in prison. We provide a range of training for volunteers workers clients and community members. Our mentors get regular support and CPD opportunities. Our Trustee Board and staff also volunteer as mentors to enrich our practice and leadership. We promote the 7 HMPPS pathways but also include Faith and Community to give our clients the best reintegration opportunities.We run a shop cafe and gallery promoting prisoner art and craft and offering the community the opportunity to generate funds.

Geese Theatre Company is a team of professional theatre practitioners who present interactive drama and facilitate workshops, staff training and consultation in prisons, secure mental health settings, young offender institutions, and in the community with probation services, youth offending teams and related agencies. A registered charity based in Birmingham, Geese works throughout the UK and overseas and has gained an international reputation for innovative work with vulnerable and socially excluded groups, becoming widely acknowledged as one of the key organisations championing the role of arts in the criminal justice system and wider social welfare arena. Our work provides solutions to a range of criminogenic issues, primarily focussing on attitudes, thinking and behaviour and addressing themes such as domestic abuse, sexual offending, violence, resettlement, substance misuse and offending, self-efficacy, and employability.

Get Wise create and deliver high-impact, creative media projects with offenders and their families. Our highly-interactive projects range from radio podcasts, to audio tracks to video. We combine personal behaviour development with industry skills. We operate in prison and in the community and are always on the look-out for people who want to make a fresh start, who are ready to do something positive for themselves and willing to have a laugh in doing so. Good Vibrations runs gamelan (Indonesian bronze percussion) courses, in prisons and secure hospitals and with offenders and ex-offenders in the community, helping people develop crucial life- and work-skills such as communication, teamworking, creative thinking and concentration. Participants are then also more motivated to engage in other constructive activities.

We provide talks and workshops in prisons and YOIs using lived experience to help those in prison build confidence and self-esteem and thereby develop fulfilling and productive lives on the outside.
We also deliver public speaking workshops in prisons and YOIs.
Our founder, Graham Frost, has lived experience as a Borstal boy and has gone on to build a fulfilling life for himself. Graham uses his story to inspire others to change their lives for the better.

Hibiscus enables marginalised migrant women trapped in the immigration and justice systems to rebuild their lives. We are the UK’s leading organisation working with Black, minoritised and migrant women and families at the intersection of the immigration and criminal justice systems.

We work across prisons, detention centres and in the community, with additional expertise in working with survivors of trafficking across all these settings. We provide individual advice and advocacy, alongside activities promoting practical support, wellbeing and empowerment and agency.

Our holistic person-centred approach supports and empowers our clients to overcome their multiple and often complex needs and, importantly, addresses the disadvantage that language and cultural barriers present.

imagine if was founded in 2015 to instigate real change in people’s lives through the arts. The company is run by founding Artistic Director, Francesca Joy and is based in Leeds.

imagine if has a strong track record of working in prisons nationally and with prison leavers in the community, with the main geographical focus being across Yorkshire. We have worked in 26 prisons across the UK and USA, having engaged with over 9,000 prisoners and continually supporting prisoners when they are released into the community, for as long as individuals require support.

We have demonstrated that theatre is a powerful tool that can be used to reach out and connect with people from all areas of society. The theatre we create is based on the world around us comprising real stories from real people. We aim to create work that is inspiring, entertaining and unashamedly honest for intimate audiences.

Upcycle believe everyone deserves a chance at a better future. We work to prevent people from being pulled into crime and help those already in the system find paths out. We run bike maintenance programmes for at-risk and marginalised youth in Bradford and in prisons and young offender institutions across the UK. Our trainees learn skills, gain valuable experience, and build the resilience and self-belief needed to succeed. Most refurbished bikes, often saved from landfills, are donated to those in need, both locally and globally. The remainder are sold in our Community Bike Shop in Shipley, providing affordable and good quality bikes to the local community and funding our work.

Mission Statement: To provide care, support, the relief of poverty and rehabilitation for offenders and ex-offenders who are or have been in custody, in particular but not exclusively by providing a support network for Muslim Chaplains.
Our Vision is to raise awareness in all communities of how to effectively contribute towards the vision of rehabilitation and resettlement of the National Offenders Management Service.
