Age UK Lancashire is the authoritative voice on ageing in Lancashire. We are ‘Passionate about later life: enabling choice, independence and control’ offering services and support to older people (aged 50+) in Lancashire, Blackpool & North Sefton which aim to ensure older people & their carers are fully informed of their rights and entitlements; support those with long term conditions to remain as independent as possible; connect older people to their communities to combat isolation and loneliness.
Our Age of Opportunity project supports people aged 50 and over who would like to work but who are unable to without additional support, especially those who are most at risk of social exclusion due to mental or physical health difficulties, homelessness or being full-time carers, for example.
Our other work includes Day Time Support, Dementia Support, Information Services & Support, Home Help, Veterans Services, Integrated Care, Hospital Aftercare, Footcare & support for community groups.

The Arkbound Foundation works with people from disadvantaged backgrounds which include all protected characteristics, as well as poverty, deprivation, homelessness, alcohol and addictions, victims of abuse and any form of disadvantage.

We got founded by an ex-prisoner, we are equality and lived experience led, are in close contact with the beneficiaries we are supporting.

We provide writing and publishing services, which include writing for wellbeing, improving educational and career related writing skills, employability, social integration, improving mental health and tackling isolation, mentoring and editing support to get into publishing and journalism.

We run writing workshops for prisoners, motivational writing competitions which tackle stigma and aid social integration, also innovational book publishing projects.
We provide supervised work placements, arrange accessible and inclusive cultural and social events, and keep an open door to our beneficiaries to join us.

Barnardo’s runs over 1,000 services for children and families in local communities across the UK. Our work includes reaching and helping children who have been sexually exploited, young people leaving the care system, children with a parent in prison and families struggling to cope. We find loving adoptive homes and foster placements for children in care.

Barnardo's delivers family engagement services and visit centres in Dorset and West Midlands, including evidence based parenting programmes, one-to-one case work, and innovative engagement programmes to support families of prisoners and relationships with significant others. We have specialist knowledge working with vulnerable groups including working with families of veterans who are in prison and extensive experience working with care leavers.

Specialising in community work, we provide this service to people regardless of faith, or none, and regardless of their crimes, age, ethnic or cultural background, gender, sexuality or disability.

Drum and Brass works in prisons and through the gate developing progression paths in the arts for those with lived experience of the justice system.

Family Action is a charity committed to building stronger families and brighter lives. We help individuals and communities address the challenges they face through practical, emotional and financial support. We support over 60,000 families and hundreds of thousands of children across the country each year through a wide range of national programmes and local services. Our work includes help for parents-to-be, parenting and relationship support, the provision of many nurseries and Children’s Centres in local communities, intensive family support, emotional health and wellbeing services, counselling, mediation and therapies, a range of mental health services including supported housing, wellbeing support in schools and GP surgeries, financial grants programmes and a range of training and consultancy services. We deliver support to women in the Mother and Baby Unit and pregnant women in HMP Styal.

Give a Book is a charity that promotes books and the pleasure of reading in the hardest places. Prison Reading Groups (PRG) is part of Give a Book. Our main areas of work are in prisons and custody suites throughout the UK. We provide creative and practical ways of leading to reading. We support family reading, reading groups, and other reading initiatives in the criminal justice sector.

Empowering, rehabilitation and supporting the community, through:

- The promotion of civic responsibility and good citizenship

- Promote life-long learning and the development of the individual capabilities, skills and understanding in subjects of educational value

Grassroots Enterprise for Social Inclusion and Poverty Relief (GESIPR) believes in empowering communities, groups and individuals that have been excluded from society
for one reason or the other and as a result are inhibited from exploring and attaining their full potentials as individuals and community assets.
We identify and serve people deeply affected by social injustice: domestic abuse survivors, ex-offenders, disadvantaged young people, the homeless, asylum seekers, and single parents and families living in poverty, who are falling through cracks in the
system without any other viable support. Our mission is to help these people and their communities access equal opportunities, harness their potential and regain their confidence and value. Our methods for helping them vary, as we take a holistic approach to solving problems. We aim to partner with existing services and voluntary agencies to fill gaps in service delivery for the communities in which we work.

Groundwork Greater Manchester helps people and organisations make changes in order to create better neighbourhoods, to build skills and job prospects, and to live and work in a greener way. Humbercare was established to work with the Humberside Probation Trust. We work to: educate, rehabilitate and promote the mental and moral improvement of offenders, or any other persons in need and the rehabilitation of persons discharged from penal institutions. Humbercare received charitable status during 1989 and became a company limited by guarantee in October of that year. Humbercare came from a desire to be able to offer additional help and assistance to offenders and those at risk to reduce the risk of re-offending through local projects.

Humbercare is managed by a Chief Executive Officer and a voluntary Management Committee. Humbercare is an enabling organisation dedicated to providing quality and innovative services to adults and young people. It is Humbercare's belief that all people should have the opportunity to realise their full potential, improve skills, optimise their life chances and become responsible members of the community.

Inspire North was formed in October 2018 and is the parent company of two long-standing charities in Yorkshire and the North East - Foundation and Community Links. Together, we have over 30 years of experience supporting the most marginalised people in our communities. Foundation's original service offering was accommodation for ex-offenders. Today, our organisation has grown to encompass support for adults, young people and families through a diverse range of services that promote social inclusion: homelessness prevention; domestic abuse (victims and perpetrators); care leavers; multiple and complex needs. We continue to specialise in accommodation and support for ex-offenders; we have relationships with over 100 private sector landlords, are a registered social landlord, and have an established Social Lettings Agency - Foundation Living. Community Links are an award-winning mental health charity pioneering a wide range of life-changing health and wellbeing services across the North.

We’re all about the power of connection through letters, words and visual arts. We work with creativity in ways that support meaningful connection, enable sharing with purpose and invest in self-care.

We work in a range of settings including HMPYOI Feltham. We place artists in each setting to inspire others to share what’s important or helpful to them through creativity.

The three core elements of our practice are;
- artist-led creative engagement covering everything from storyboards to sculpture, printing to poetry
- sharing work created by participants through exhibitions, events, online and in publications
- inviting participants to consider how their creative expression could benefit or help them or someone else.

We join up different parts of a community who wouldn't otherwise meet. We hope this leads to greater empathy and continued engagement between people or groups who may otherwise assume they have nothing in common and benefit from connection through creativity.

At Kiwi Communities CIC, our primary objective is to improve communities by using restorative approaches and solution focused practices. We deliver both short, impactful information workshops and long-term projects. All our work aims to change the mindsets of the participants and provide activities and skills which can be used immediately in various social situations; reducing conflict and finding solutions.

Our focus is on improving and investing in the communities in which we work. As we are an inclusive and person-centered service, we upskill people from any background and all ages.
