Age UK Lancashire is the authoritative voice on ageing in Lancashire. We are ‘Passionate about later life: enabling choice, independence and control’ offering services and support to older people (aged 50+) in Lancashire, Blackpool & North Sefton which aim to ensure older people & their carers are fully informed of their rights and entitlements; support those with long term conditions to remain as independent as possible; connect older people to their communities to combat isolation and loneliness.
Our Age of Opportunity project supports people aged 50 and over who would like to work but who are unable to without additional support, especially those who are most at risk of social exclusion due to mental or physical health difficulties, homelessness or being full-time carers, for example.
Our other work includes Day Time Support, Dementia Support, Information Services & Support, Home Help, Veterans Services, Integrated Care, Hospital Aftercare, Footcare & support for community groups.
