Impact Transition Services delivers structured, safe and supportive transition services for people leaving custody. Our work focuses on the critical point of release, offering transportation, guidance and stabilisation support to help reduce risk and improve reintegration outcomes.

Initially supporting young people and, in time, adults, we work with individuals who may be at risk of homelessness, disengagement, reoffending or social isolation following release. Through early intervention, we help people access accommodation, support networks and essential services, while building confidence and stability during the transition back into the community.

We work in partnership with justice services, local authorities, community organisations and support providers to create effective pathways that support successful resettlement and contribute to safer communities.

Working in Wales, we support women to rebuild their lives after a prison sentence or conviction. Our aim is to empower these women to lead meaningful lives in the community and to reduce the number of women locked up; we achieve these objectives through innovative diversion schemes.

The Independence Initiative provides a complimentary service to those of other agencies in assisting those who are socially excluded by reason of drugs , alcohol or other related causes, and recognises and responds to the perceived needs of recovering clients with complex needs , and to provide support for their families. All of our support is provided on a one-to-one basis.
We also have a Safe House facility known as the !-2-1 Detox Unit that has 5 en-suite rooms. We provide 24 hour support to people undertaking a community detoxification in a one-to-one setting.

Our 'Castle Gate Gloucestershire' programme of criminal justice related services include: county-wide support for prisoners' families; parenting programmes for men (both in custody and the community); restorative family interventions; mentoring for young people, and; the provision of diversionary and support interventions for young people involved with gangs.

Informal Learning is a Company limited by guarantee that aims to provide immediate and sustainable housing and support to the homeless and those at risk of becoming homeless,through shared accommodation in the Wakefield and Leeds District . We also support individuals with benefits advice, budgeting, debt management, domestic and social skills, CVs, job search, employment and training and progression to independent living.

Working in partnership with the Probation service, police, prisons, mental health providers, drug and alcohol services, other homeless organisations, local councillors as well as community members.

InHouse Records is a record label for change focusing on what's strong and not what's wrong. InHouse Records provides music education and workshops, inside of UK Prisons, as a post-release programme and to those not in education, employment or training by using the creativity of music to express feelings that are hard to communicate.

​Using music to create safe and enabling environments, we work to increase the network of our learners by modelling dialogic skills that have been missing in their lives by presenting our learners with the opportunity to spiral into healthier networks upon release and ultimately to reduce the chances of reoffending.

Inner City Life is a charity based in Birmingham that aspire to enrich the lives of vulnerable people living in and around the community. We offer support to those individuals who are struggling and have nowhere else to turn to. Our services are open to people who are unemployed, suffering from mental health problems, domestic violence, homelessness, disabilities, limited leave to remain, addiction and ex-services.​

INQUEST provides a free advice service to people bereaved by a death in custody or detention or involving state failures. Casework also informs the organisation's research, parliamentary, campaigning and policy work.

Activities:
I. Develop creative solutions to the issues of discrimination and injustice, a lack of understanding about shared histories and hidden narratives. that we and our communities experience through project management and consultancy services that will include research, mapping, training, and archival work.
II. The activities of the company will also consist of meetings, training sessions, events such as conferences, performances and shows across England and Wales.

Inside Connections is set up to support individuals who have experience in custody, care or the armed forces and those in the community.

What do we do?

Training - Inside Connections run a variety of programmes that are labour market lead, this includes the Building Lives Academy which specifically targets work within the construction industry; as well as courses in HGV preparation, Broadband (Fibre optic) and BTEC sports (16-18 years). All courses lead to employment opportunities.

Recruitment – We have an agency that feeds from our training programmes, it aims to give paid experience to those who have completed our courses with the opportunity of securing a full-time role after 13 weeks.

Mentoring – Each learner has access to a mentor for as long as they need one, this helps them with any personal issues, employment queries, and maintain a commitment throughout. The mentor usually has a similar background to the learner with the story to influence and inspire them to become better.

Mobiles – We run a safeguarding mobile network that aims to help those who are vulnerable or using a service and their support workers above them. We have enabled 4 free-call numbers which could be the prison gate, carer, probation, support worker, AA or NA support line and so on. IC Mobile also provides an online management portal were you can view, top-up and amend free-call numbers for a unlimited amount of devices. www.icmobile.co.uk

Greeting cards – We sell affordable and personalised greeting cards, aiming to keep loved ones connected when a family member is in prison. We are a fraction of the price of competitors such as JailMate and MoonPig and we also donate a percentage in to our community fund which is put back in to reform and rehabilitation. www.icgreetings.co.uk

App – The ‘Inside Connections’ app is a one stop shop for all of our services with additional features to help those who are leaving prison. On the app we have a prison finder with directions and information, a CV builder, dentist finder, doctor finder, Job Centre finder, tax support, legal aid solicitors, housing support and many more with stuff being added to constantly.

Supported living - Is provided for 16-18-year-olds exiting care or juvenile custody. All will provided with a programme that will see them gain qualifications and enter sustainable employment before entering adult life.

COVID-19 – During this pandemic we aim to get mobile phones delivered to those who are isolating and may be alone or vulnerable with no contact to the outside world as we believe this is crucial to a person’s wellbeing. We have also used our platform to work in conjunction with other community hubs in Liverpool to deliver food parcels to the vulnerable and elderly.

Inside Contact publish a magazine that is circulated around all prisons in UK. The magazine is designed to offer respite from time behind bars and will also be sent it to families of inmates. The magazinel features competitions, interviews and articles as well as being a platform for inmates and families to have their creativity published whether it be a painting or a written piece. We also offer mentor support to families where we can, when we can. We also run and offer jobs to ex offenders; teaching them digital skills and office skills for professional orientated jobs to empower them and either prepare them to work elsewhere or hopefully stay with us and grow in our team.

Inside Job Productions produces professional, high-quality films for training, promotion, case studies and internal communications. We work extensively within the Criminal Justice sector, experienced in communicating sensitive issues and managing security clearances. Clients include the National Probation Service, NOMS and many individual prisons and related organisations.

Established in 2010, Inside Justice is an
award winning charity that conducts
casework investigations on behalf of people
who claim they’ve been wrongly convicted.

We provide free access to experts and lawyers and identify and challenge systemic failings.

Inside Justice is a registered charity founded by Louise Shorter, former producer/director of BBC TV’s long-running miscarriage of justice investigative series Rough Justice. Our casework team is run on a lean overhead which harnesses the power of an army of expert volunteers.

We receive applications predominantly from prisoners or from their family and friends. We are also alerted to cases by lawyers who believe an innocent person may have been jailed but who can do no more due to Legal Aid funding cuts.

We rely totally on charitable support to investigate miscarriages of justice for prisoners and their families

Our Inside Out programme helps transform the lives of men & women who have been in prison, on probation, at risk of offending and/or coming out of addiction. Our passion is to support those with complex issues not to re-offend & to reintegrate them into their families & society. Our one-year Christian-based programme is built on three cornerstones – mentoring, building community & ongoing support. All are welcome to apply regardless of religious beliefs providing they wish to engage with us & want to turn their lives round. Mentoring is the most important part of our programme. We provide many opportunities for progression through life skills, education, qualifications, volunteer & employment placements & new interests and hobbies. We are encouraged that some of our participants have become drug-free, restored relationships with their families & are in employment. We work in partnership with a wide range of local organisations, churches, specialist agencies & the probation service.

Inside Time is a newspaper provided to every prison in the country. We also publish Inside Information, a comprehensive guide to prisons, legal fact sheets and support organisations for prisoners and their families.

Insider Access is a unique not for profit social enterprise with a passion to engage non-traditional learners into learning, employment and achieving their fullest potential in society.

Insider Access works closely with the Ministry for Justice, NOMS, Probation Trusts, Jobcentre Plus/DWP, is an accredited NCFE Centre and approved by the Skills Funding Agency.

Income generated by Insider Access (a not for profit social enterprise) supports:

We provide free NHS talking therapies for adults, to help with common issues like low mood, stress, and anxiety. We provide our services in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, Bassetlaw, Derby and Derbyshire, Peterborough, Kent, Medway, and via our partnerships in Wirral, Newcastle upon Tyne, and Teesside.

Inspira is a charity providing a range of career and personal development services across Lancashire, Cumbria and elsewhere in the North of England. We support people who often face multiple inter-related issues including unemployment, low skills, criminal justice, poverty, social isolation and poor health. Working in partnership with local voluntary and statutory services, employers and skills providers, we help people get on in work, life and society.

We work mainly with at-risk young people - Young Offenders, PRUs, SEMH. We are expanding into probation services & adult prisons. We offer motivational, interactive talks & workshops with a key focus on personal empowerment to make positive life choices, regardless of a person's past or environment. A key drive of the organisation is to drive down knife/violent crime - to prevent becoming a perpetrator in the first place or re offending.

Using direct personal experience of being a victim of a violent multiple stabbing in 2016, director Natalie Queiroz, uses this lived-experience to embed the victim perspective - during/after the attack, the long term consequences & ripple effect of the crime. Her hard-hitting talk also focuses on choices & empowerment to come back from even the darkest, hardest times in life to rebuild a strong & better future. Truly anything is possible!

Natalie also advocates the power of Restorative Justice - having direct experience of facing her perpetrator in prison.

Inspire North was formed in October 2018 and is the parent company of two long-standing charities in Yorkshire and the North East - Foundation and Community Links. Together, we have over 30 years of experience supporting the most marginalised people in our communities. Foundation's original service offering was accommodation for ex-offenders. Today, our organisation has grown to encompass support for adults, young people and families through a diverse range of services that promote social inclusion: homelessness prevention; domestic abuse (victims and perpetrators); care leavers; multiple and complex needs. We continue to specialise in accommodation and support for ex-offenders; we have relationships with over 100 private sector landlords, are a registered social landlord, and have an established Social Lettings Agency - Foundation Living. Community Links are an award-winning mental health charity pioneering a wide range of life-changing health and wellbeing services across the North.
