We are a registered charity that focusses on making a real and lasting difference to the lives of people facing the challenges of caring, ageing, learning disabilities and mental health. We deliver a range of information, advice and guidance, and community based services which are person centred and designed to promote independence, wellbeing, quality of life and to delay the need for intensive interventions.

Hertfordshire Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders (HACRO) is a charity that helps people who have been on the wrong side of the law to turn their lives around. We do this by delivering family support and ex-offender employment programmes – both proven to reduce re-offending.

Our Vision is a world in which everyone on the wrong side of the law has the chance to turn their lives around and lead a life fully contributing to society. Our mission is to offer support for offenders, potential offenders and their families to make positive changes in their lives. We do this by providing a range of education, training and well-being programmes.

Hafal (meaning 'equal') is the principal organisation in Wales working with individuals recovering from serious mental illness and their families. As a member led Charity, we were founded 20 years ago on the belief that people who have direct experience of mental illness know best how services can and should be delivered. Providing support across all 7 local health board areas of Wales and delivering over 76 projects, Hafal is dedicated to empowering people with serious mental illness and their families to:
• Achieve a better quality of life.
• Fulfill their ambitions for recovery.
• Fight discrimination.
• Enjoy equal access to health and social care, housing, income, education, and employment.

Our charitable aims are: A. to relieve poverty, sickness and distress among prison inmates, ex-offenders and the partners and dependants of prison inmates and ex-offenders in need of such relief. B. to advance public education by research into domestic issues relating to prison inmates, ex-offenders and their families and to disseminate the useful results of such research Who we are: • We are a charity organisation • We believe that every prisoner and his or her family should get the support they would like or need. • We provide an information, guidance and sign posting service • We listen to the needs of prisoners’ families • We keep visitors up to date with all prison rules and regulations • We hold regular surveys, forums and feedback to help shape and improve the charity. • We run family events such as Family Days, Children’s Days, Partners Days, Father Baby Bonding Sessions (FABBS), family interventions.

Hammer and Tong Productions is an award-winning social enterprise based in Cambridge, and registered with the Ministry of Justice as a Tier 3 service provider.

Our aim is to improve young people’s lives who may have difficult and troubled backgrounds, which could include mental health issues or illicit substance/alcohol abuse, which have contributed to them making poor life choices and being involved in the criminal justice system.

We work with these young people to engage them through filmmaking, music, art and drama workshops. The programme covers both prevention and rehabilitation of young offenders, re-offenders or ex offenders with the aim of breaking the cycle of offending.

Our workshops can be tailored to the interests of the individual groups taking part on the course and correlate with their specific needs.We offer a specialist intervention programme delivered over 6 months with one day attendance per week for youth and adult offenders, gang members and anyone at risk of re offending.

Hamoaze House is primarily a day service for people who have, historically, been affected by drugs and/ or alcohol. However, we have adapted to meet the identified needs of those attending the service and, in the past 10 years, we have adapted significantly to accommodate those individuals who live with multiple vulnerabilities and complex needs. For example:
• Adults who have life problems related to their own drug or alcohol use (e.g. accommodation/relationship issues);
• Adults managing common mental health issues;
• Vulnerable adults with learning difficulties who self-medicate with alcohol;
• Other people whose lives are affected by drugs and alcohol (e.g. members of the community, friends or family of people who use – or have used –drugs or alcohol);
• Young children who access the nursery whilst their parents access our day programme;
• Schools, other charitable organisations and community members who use the gym and sports facilities.

Harbour Support Services is a specialist domestic abuse charity that has worked for over 37 years to improve the lives of families living with domestic abuse. We are active across Hartlepool, Stockton, Middlesbrough, County Durham, North Tyneside, Redcar & Cleveland, and Darlington.

Harrogate Homeless Project run a 'No Second Night Out' service with 5 dedicated bedspaces within our hostel. We operate a 16 bed hostel, 2 move on resettlement houses and a Day Centre which is open weekdays 10am - 2pm.

In addition to this we run a Service for Adults Facing Exclusion (SAFE) which is an engagement based service for adults who are experiencing exclusion from other services.

Hart & Joy delivers mindset coaching, education, mentoring and signposting services to prison leavers and those working with and supporting them.

We offer learning programmes including coaching and mentoring for prospective employees before, during and after transition periods (e.g. leaving prison and moving into employment), and education and learning programmes, consisting of coaching and mentoring for prospective employers (of marginalised groups and prison leavers).
We work with ex offenders searching for employment alongside their prospective and current employers in order to promote recruitment and retention, creating an inclusive, understanding and welcoming workplace before and throughout the employment process.

We provide Learning Through Journalism programmes for vulnerable and disadvantaged young people under the age of 25, improving lifelong and transferable skills such as literacy, communication, critical thinking, interviewing and media skills for increased educational attainment and employability. We help young people to become active citizens in their communities with the confidence to make good choices and change negative behaviours. We are also able to deliver our programmes in custody, given the opportunity to do so.

The main objective is to provide a quality semi independent accommodation for care leavers aged 16-18 . In addition to providing therapeutic counselling , mentoring and coaching services to enable transition into independent living. Our aim is to ensure that each young person's experience is not a transaction but an experience that is transformational to their spiritual, social, intellectual and emotional development.

We provide exceptional quality care in a warm, friendly, caring, supportive and nurturing environment.

We work in partnership with Children’s Services, Education, youth offending services and Health, by ensuring the provision of quality responsive services to meet statutory requirements and the needs of young people.
We endeavour to promote the well-being and unique qualities of each young person through our motivated and dedicated staff team.

The programme - UNITE as one, INSPIRE one another, BELIEVE anything is possible, supports ex serving personnel. The main aim is to rehome homeless, or those leaving the criminal justice system, by providing supported living accommodation. Healthier Heroes rehabilitate and reconnect veterans and their families regardless of whether they recently left the army or left a long time ago.

We support veterans who have left, or are still in the criminal justice system. Our lead mentor is able to draw keys at the prisons we currently work in and has attended full training around prison visitations. Using a peer mentoring programme, we help them to rebuild their lives and find jobs. With our combined lived experience and our person led approach to the programme we are striving to help veterans and their families overcome barriers that restrict aspects of their lives.

Our work supports immigration detainees to recover their sense of wellbeing and resilience, and make their voices heard, by:

• Offering a creative outlet that supports self-confidence and agency
• Providing positive experiences to counter the psychological damage of detention
• Enabling meaningful connections with people and communities in the ‘outside’ world
• Building platforms to bring their creative work and life experience to a public audience

We provide talks and workshops in prisons and YOIs using lived experience to help those in prison build confidence and self-esteem and thereby develop fulfilling and productive lives on the outside.
We also deliver public speaking workshops in prisons and YOIs.
Our founder, Graham Frost, has lived experience as a Borstal boy and has gone on to build a fulfilling life for himself. Graham uses his story to inspire others to change their lives for the better.

Heeley City Farm, Sheffield, established 1981, is an inner-city farm providing a range of integrated services and activities for the local and city-wide community. Services include employment, training, education, older peoples' activities, health and welfare, local food growing, youth work, a day care for adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems, fuel poverty and affordable warmth advice.

Helix Arts works with artists, in partnership with public and voluntary sector organisations, to create opportunities for disadvantaged people across the North East to participate in high-quality arts activity. We believe that participation in creative activity is fundamental to the wellbeing of individuals and should be accessible to all.

We are Hestia, a charity that supports adults and children in times of crisis. We help more than 18,500 people every year across London, Berkshire and the South East. We work with people from all backgrounds and ages, in various challenging environments. We also campaign and advocate for the issues that affect our service users.

We are the home of innovative projects such as UK Says No More, Safe Spaces and the Bright Sky app, and Art is Freedom. These initiatives aim to raise awareness, provide support and empower survivors of domestic abuse and modern slavery.

We have over 750 employees and 600 volunteers who build honest and respectful relationships with our service users. We collaborate and work with them to support and encourage them to lead their own recovery process. We are proud of our staff and inspired by the resilience of the people we serve.

Hetty’s started life as self help group set up by two mothers of heroin addicts in 1996. Since then the organisation has grown to deliver nationally recognised services. Hetty’s has over 13 years of expertise and specialism delivering preventative family intervention workshops with the criminal justice system to offenders engaging with drug/alcohol treatment workers. In partnership with local adult and young offenders prisons Hetty's deliver monthly education and awareness sessions around the impact a prisoner’s drug or alcohol use has had on their family members.
The session has a particular focus on the acceptance of personal responsibility and how this can have a positive impact on repairing relationships that have broken down due to lack of communication and loss of trust. Hetty’s also deliver a 3 week course in partnership with Probation (PRR) and encourage family members to attend session 3 for group family mediation.
Ofenders can refer their family to Hetty's for support.

Hibiscus enables marginalised migrant women trapped in the immigration and justice systems to rebuild their lives. We are the UK’s leading organisation working with Black, minoritised and migrant women and families at the intersection of the immigration and criminal justice systems.

We work across prisons, detention centres and in the community, with additional expertise in working with survivors of trafficking across all these settings. We provide individual advice and advocacy, alongside activities promoting practical support, wellbeing and empowerment and agency.

Our holistic person-centred approach supports and empowers our clients to overcome their multiple and often complex needs and, importantly, addresses the disadvantage that language and cultural barriers present.
