The charity’s main aim is to bring about community transformation by creating strategic partnerships which open up opportunities for crime and disorder reduction and improved community cohesion. This partnership approach has seen crime and anti-social behaviour fall and fresh hope brought to some of the most deprived and challenging areas of the UK, urban and rural alike.
ROC brings together community groups, churches, the police, the fire service, local authorities and voluntary agencies to encourage them to work together in positive partnerships for practical ‘on the ground’ change.
ROC Restore is a form of restorative justice delivered by ROC and undertaken by volunteer community members. ROC Restore is delivered in partnership with a number of agencies and community groups. It's aim is to reduce conflict and re-offending and to make communities safer.

RCT is a leading provider of specialist accredited mentoring for young people and adults, including ex-offenders who are finding life difficult, and working with them to try and put their lives back on track by offering practical and emotional support.

Rooted Wisdom CIC is a trauma-informed organisation dedicated to supporting Black and racially minoritised children, young people, and families impacted by systemic inequality, school exclusion, mental health challenges, and the criminal justice system. We deliver group workshops, 1:1 therapy, staff training, and prison-based programmes rooted in psychodynamic, cultural, and identity-affirming approaches. Our work centres racial trauma, emotional resilience, and neurodivergence. We collaborate with schools, prisons, councils, and families to provide early intervention, healing spaces, and long-term systemic change. Rooted Wisdom also supports professionals through reflective spaces and training, empowering them to work compassionately and effectively with those most marginalised.

Rotherham CAB provides advice and information for the people of Rotherham Borough in all areas of social welfare law. We provide specialist advice in debt. We deliver money management courses, train volunteers in advice delivery and as an organisation keen to identify new ways of working we are looking at delivering advice via e mail, social media and live chat.

RAD works with Deaf people, mainly those who are profoundly deaf from birth or a young age,who communicate in British Sign Language (BSL). Our services are: Advice, Advocacy, Children & Families,Community Development,Employment Skills & Transitions,Interpreting & Social Care.Adult sign language users at 0.3% of the population rising to 0.5% in London (GP Survey),however, Deaf people are over-represented among isolated, vulnerable and hard-to-reach groups, and 4 times more likely to be unemployed. They lack access to information, advice and opportunities to gain skills.Literacy can be low – average reading age for Deaf school-leavers is 8-9 years.RAD has pioneered effective ways of working with Deaf people and providing accessible services.We are a Deaf-led organisation; most of our Trustees are Deaf and all frontline staff have fluent BSL, many also being Deaf with experience of the barriers clients face. This shapes our organisational culture and how we deliver services.

The RSPCA has an international reputation for its professional expertise in preventing animal cruelty, promoting human kindness and alleviating suffering. In 2013, the RSPCA prosecuted 1,371 adults under the Animal Welfare Act and 88 resulted in prison sentences and 220 in suspended sentences. The RSPCA is the largest private prosecutor after the CPS and has a 98% success rate. However, our mission is to prevent animal cruelty and change human attitudes and behaviour and we recognise the importance of rehabilitation and restorative or reparative approaches. Over the past four years, the charity has built up a widely respected programme of training and online resources. Working closely with the RSPCA’s inspectorate and prosecution services, the education team have developed an intervention programme for adults who have been convicted of animal cruelty offences which aims to address deficits in consequential thinking skills and empathy and to improve understanding of animal needs.

We focus on supporting people and families impacted by imprisonment and contact with the criminal justice system. Highlighting the barriers they may face around communication and show alternative methods to get the same result.
We recently started a service which is a Price Comparison for all the Many Virtual Landline/Prison Phone / Divert services. Gatedial.co.uk was created to address a simple problem: many families are paying far more than they need to in order to stay in contact with loved ones in prison. We promote fairness, transparency, and informed choice.

Supporting Prison Governors: A Leadership Lifeline
We coach-train-mentor small groups of prison governors on Zoom so that they can stay sane, think clearly under pressure and bring their people with them while operating remotely in difficult circumstances.
This work started during the Covid-19 pandemic 2020 and has grown in scope to include Deputy Governors and other senior leaders.

Improved mental health

Runnymede and Spelthorne CAB provides advice and information for the general public, with casework; this includes specialist outreach for adults with mental health problems, a rent deposit bond scheme, and a court project for rent and mortgage arrears.

Sacro is a national organisation with over 40 years experience in delivering a range of housing support, criminal justice, youth justice and restorative justice services across Scotland. Sacro's mission is to be a community based organisation that will create safe and cohesive communities by reducing conflict and offending. Sacro's vision is for a safer Scotland, also to resolve conflict constructively and to deal effectively with offending and the consequences.

Safe Ground works to reduce the risk of offending and reoffending based on a continually developing understanding of the origins and impact of crime and a commitment to empowering people to change.

We are primarily an organisation that works with men who are being investigated for sexual offences. However, we also work with more general harmful sexual behaviours, and with serious violent offenders, especially in their resettlement into the community after long periods of imprisonment.

The Safer Living Foundation (SLF) was founded in February 2014. It is a joint venture between HMP Whatton and senior academics from Nottingham Trent University. It is supported by the National Probation Service (East Midlands) and Nottinghamshire Police as well as many others. As a Charitable Incorporated Organisation that adopts a multi-agency approach with a strong research component, the SLF is focused on reducing sexual offending and re-offending through rehabilitative and preventative initiatives.

Our Charitable Objectives:
•To promote the protection of people from, and the prevention of, sexual crime.
•To promote the rehabilitation of persons who have committed or who are likely to commit sexual offences against others.

This innovative work has led to SLF being nominated for and winning many awards including, most recently: Charity of the Year at the Third Sector Awards 2019.

Safer London is a leading London charity working with young Londoners and their families affected by violence and exploitation.
Through one to one intervention and targeted group work we’re supporting young Londoners to move onto the positive futures that they deserve. We put young Londoners at the centre of their support, focusing on them and their needs. By building strong, trusting relationships we gain an insight into their world, begin to understand what they need and together find the best ways to keep them safe.
Understanding that young Londoners’ lives are shaped by the world in which they live, we work not only with them and their families, but also their peer networks and directly within the community and the places where they live and spend their time.

Safer Merthyr Tydfil is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee. Registered in 1997, although it was established 2-years previous, 1995, under a Home Office Safer Cities Initiative. The organisation has a Wales-wide remit, currently providing services in Merthyr Tydfil and Rhondda Cynon Taff.

The aim of the organisation is to, in partnership with others, reduce crime, fear of crime and increase community confidence and cohesion.

The organisation does this through delivery of targeted programmes of work. Through these programmes, SMT works with a variety of key partner agencies from all sectors, in particular core statutory such as Local and National Govt, Police, Health etc.

We currently offer a number of programmes, supported by a variery of funders, in relation to key priorites such as domestic abuse, young people and ASB/offending behaviour, home security target hardening etc. Our range of programmes reach service users across the full age spectrum.

Safer Wales is an independent charity based in Cardiff. We work across Wales and manage a range of different projects which support some of the most vulnerable, and excluded in Welsh communities. We developed the Womens Turnaround service which worked with women who offend, or risk of offending. We manage the Streetlife project, which works with women who are exploited through streetbased prostitution. We provide an outreach team and a supported housing project. We developed the Womens Safety Unit which provides Independant Domestic Violence Advisor to work with high risk victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence. We developed and manange the first service for for male victims of domestic abuse in Wales, Dyn project. We have a human exploitation project which has developed a pathway, and information protocol for people who are trafficked.

Sahir House offers a wide range of services to people and families on Merseyside living with, or affected by, HIV. Services offered comprise: internet access, peer support and mentoring, therapies, counselling, training, information, support groups, welfare rights, social workers, HIV community nurses, outreach, advocacy, and many opportunities to volunteer.

We are a social inclusion charity that aims to create better futures for young people and adults in the North West. In 2019/2020, we helped 15,000+ people in the community, prison and women’s centres. We operate mainly in Cheshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Key activities include:
• Digital skills, financial literacy, careers learning, enterprise activities and mentoring support in schools and colleges to raise aspirations.
• Targeted youth services including mentoring and family support for vulnerable children and young people.
• Information, advice, guidance, employment and training support to disadvantaged young people and adults.
• Specialist adult services from offender management and rehabilitation, money skills, debt advice and fuel poverty advice to domestic abuse services.
• Group health and wellbeing activities and peer-led support

We work with young offenders, vulnerable women and men with complex needs.

We provide direct support services within the community for ex-offenders, older people and people in debt. We work to support ex-offenders in the resettlement process, which includes offering supported housing and help with personal and practical development, with the aim of reducing the risk of reoffending.

We have a referral process and accept referrals from various statutory providers, voluntary sector providers and in person. All new referrals complete a referral form and risk assessment before being offered accommodation.


All clients take part in a support planning process. Each client has a support worker and regular reviews of the support plan take place. We use the outcome star to work with clients to help them to identify the various actions needed to address their journey to independent living away from offending.

All clients are able to access our training, volunteer mentoring scheme, opportunities for volunteering and our debt advice service.

Saltbox has been providing caring services for vulnerable people in Stoke-on-Trent for many years. As part of the charity, we run a supported housing service called Restart. We house anyone who is homeless or at risk of homelessness and provide a tailored support package for each client to encourage them to make positive change in their lives and journey towards independent living. Our specialism is in housing clients who are prison leavers or people on probation. We have a dedicated team of support workers, supported by a number of additional posts providing more specialist support around chaplaincy, client activities, dual diagnosis and family reconnections.
