Call for updates for the next PPfP partners e-bulletin

At the end of October we will be distributing the next e-bulletin for partners in the Positive Pathways from Prison (PPfP) programme. This quarter's edition will reflect that there was not a bulletin in the last quarter, and so will also include relevant updates previously submitted during that period.

Clinks runs events and training for voluntary organisations working in the criminal justice system. We hear time and time again that organisations feel stronger alongside others and enjoy being part of a well-connected network.

Why we need to pursue alternatives to renting foreign prison places 

The news that the government will be tabling legislation allowing it to rent prison spaces abroad has caused considerable concern across the voluntary sector. There is widespread disappointment that these proposals are being considered when other measures to reduce the population pressures, such as early release schemes and diversion programmes, are not being considered with the same priority.
