CLINKS MEMBER’S NEWS: the impact of medicines shortages
National Voices is working with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society (RPS) to understand the causes of medicines shortages, the collaborative action that could be taken to mitigate against these occurring in the future and how patients and carers can be better supported when they do happen.
To help inform this work, RPS have shared two surveys, one for client representative charities, and the other for clients/patients themselves. Please complete the survey for charities and once completed, please could you return to shortages@rpharms.com
Please share this survey for clients/patients to share their experiences of medicine shortages.
If you have any questions, please reach out to Alwyn Fortune, Policy and Engagement Lead at RPS.

FUNDING: grant funding for running costs of small charities in England and Wales
The Yapp Charitable Foundation provide core funding of around £3,000 per year for up to three years to registered charities with expenditure of less than £40,000, which have been established for at least three years. The Foundation prioritises work that is 'unattractive to the general public and other funders', and experience of the criminal justice system falls under their social welfare category.
