We use the services project services and programs to empower the BME community to discover their purpose their pathway and place them around the right network of people who will nurture their talents and gifts in order for them be productive, prosperous in good health, create wealth and leave a legacy.

We support people with experience of the criminal justice system through two projects. The WIRE project supports people aged 18+ with a criminal record to improve their employability skills and gain work experience through placements with our business members. The UP Project supports young people aged 16-25 with a history of or at risk of offending to address their barriers to education, employment and training. This includes support with housing, mental health, relationships and skills and experience for work.

Leicestershire GATE is the only not for profit organisation working with the Traveller and Gypsy communities across Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland. We support the diverse needs of these, the most marginalised and invisible communities in Britain. We act as the crucial link between community members and essential services such as schools, health providers, Police, local authorities and housing. We are able to ensure that these services are 'Traveller ready' by providing in depth cultural awareness training whilst at the same time ensuring that community members have a detailed understanding of what to expect from these services. In doing so, we remove the multiple barriers that exist for Traveller and Gypsies, we take an equitable approach by recognising that as communities that have been ignored for generations, the idea that they can freely engage with these services is a barrier in itself We are community steered and as such, the work that we undertake is community instructed

We work with the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community, providing a wide range of services including face-to-face counselling, a helpline, email and pop-in service, also sexual health services including testing and a free condom scheme.

Let's Get Talking is a charity dedicated to communication, conversation and the value of talking. We design and sell our own award winning 23 themed discussion cards sets that we use for our knife crime and drugs awareness programmes. We aim to help young people be able to open up honest and genuine discussions on topics that aren't freely spoken about. We are actively aiming to better understand the attitudes and mindsets of young people today, to enhance their decision-making and help them to make the right choices. www.letsgettalking.org

We provide free independent and impartial advice to everyone on their rights and responsibilities. We provide information and general advice on any topic and also have specialist caseworkers in Welfare Rights, Debt and Employment. As well as offering advice in the bureau we hold an outreach session once a week in HMP Lewes.

This therapeutic community, established in 1971, provides residential rehabilitation from detox through to aftercare, with abstinence, peer support and self-help. Residents successfully complete our treatment intervention and recovery programme into full-time employment and move out into independent living with peers, no longer in treatment. We break the cycle of addiction, offending and dependency on welfare benefits.

The aim of Liberty Choirs is to provide for excluded and isolated people (for example, those in secure psychiatric settings or people who are serving custodial sentences) a ‘through the gate’ programme of high-quality singing and social development. It is designed to help develop skills and self-confidence, open up the world of arts through singing and provide access to new social networks as the participants re-enter the wider community.

We are in touch with more than 70 Liberty Choir graduates, some of whom sing regularly in our choirs, others join us for concerts and special events and others still just let us know they are fine by phone or social media and by turning up at choir as a surprise.
We are now in our sixth year in HMP Wandsworth; we have been in our second prison, HMP High Down since October 2017 and our third prison, HMP Downview, our first women’s prison, since February 2018.

We are looking to expand into two to three more prisons in early 2020.

Mission and Vision At the heart of Liberty Springboard's mission is the understanding that many women and girls encounter significant barriers due to their backgrounds, particularly those with experiences in the youth and criminal justice system.

Life Cycle Bike Back bike recycling project operates in both Bristol and Derby. Unwanted bikes are donated by members of the public and are taken to HMP Bristol & HMP Stocken where they are stripped down, cleaned and rebuilt by prisoners. Prisoners learn employability and mechanical skill. In Stocken they achieve a City & Guilds Level 2, In Bristol a City & Guilds Level 1. When bikes leave the prison workshops they are checked and made ready for sale by volunteers. We have some limited opportunities for people on licence and ex-offenders to volunteer for us. We are planning to increase these opportunities significantly. Refurbished bikes are sold to members of the public at pop-up sales. Both projects have bikes available at low cost through the Wheels to Work scheme.

Lifeshare works with young people who are homeless or at risk of being homeless and at risk of exploitation, sex work, gang involvement and offending.

Lighthouse West Yorkshire is a fresh expression of church and registered Leeds-based charity which reaches out to those who are battered and bruised by the storms of life. This includes people who are homeless, drug addicts, offenders and ex-offenders, and other highly vulnerable people who live on the margins of society with issues like mental health crisis and extreme poverty. We offer a safe haven where they can socialise, be supported practically and pastorally, and where they can find a sense of purpose and belonging.

developmentplus is a community development charity based in Lincoln, It delivers a small number of 1-1 coaching and mentoring programmes including Bridging the Gap (BTG). BTG is a reducing re-offending project which supports men and women on release from prison into the Lincoln area providing an intensive mentoring service that covers all 9 pathways. It supports individuals with housing issues, benefit advise, relationship support, drug and alcohol support as well as many other areas. We address all issues at the same time and support individuals for as long as they need.

LAT provides resettlement and rehabilitation support for individuals involved at all stages of the criminal justice system from the point of arrest; as well as for their families and dependants.
The charity delivers ETE, housing, family support and resettlement interventions both in prisons and in the community. Specific interventions are offered for women. LAT works with all offence types, and has particular specialism in resettlement of men convicted of sexual offences.
LAT delivers a number of national programmes including Liaison & Diversion, CRS Personal Wellbeing and Women's Serivce and CFOe, as well as local innovations such as Women RISE, a women's centre provision for women and girls at risk. LAT also introduced the 'departure lounge' concept to prison, starting the UK's first one at HMP Lincoln in 2015.
Volunteers are a key aspect of support, and individuals including peers, are recruited and trained for various volunteering and mentoring roles.

LITC is a pioneering Social Enterprise providing Youth Citizenship, Volunteering and International exchange programmes, Sports and Development and Community Engagement projects, as well as a Apprenticeships to young people in a range of dynamic training qualifications. Working on a Local, National and International platform, LITC strives to make a difference to our societies. LITC's youth services provide a wraparound support services, through Traineeships, Information Advice and Guidance, International programs and Apprenticeships.

Lippy People is a social purpose organisation with a long standing commitment to supporting prisoners and ex-offenders increase their ability to challenge their attitudes and behaviours, develop life, career and enterprise skills, and achieve goals that lead to successful resettlement. Based in West Yorkshire, with a national remit, Our mission is to support the achievement of positive personal and social change by helping people to overcome social and economic exclusion and inequalities through film and digital storytelling, coaching, mentoring and enterprise development. Lippy People has worked extensively providing both prison and community based life, career and enterprise coaching and supporting prisoners and ex-offenders to produce films to improve the delivery of offending behaviour programmes, education & skills, safer custody, resettlement, drug treatment, through the gate initiatives, employment, induction and personal goals… amongst other thematic areas.

North Liverpool CAB provides free, confidential, generalist & specialist advice, advocacy and education from 3 main bureaux and out reach services. We also deliver financial capability workshops - last year 800 people attended one of our sessions covering debt awareness, budgeting and affordable credit. We help the most disadvantaged people in the community & have specialist projects working with e.g lone parents & people with mental health needs. We also offer volunteering opportunities in advice, financial capability and support roles.

Llamau is Wales leading homelessness organisation, working with homeless young people and vulnerable people across Wales. We provide supported accommodation, family mediation, training and employability and a range of gender specific services. We work with young people who have offended, care leavers, victims of abuse, vulnerable women, children and families as well as other marginalised groups with complex needs. We also have a resettlement project, providing resettlement broker coordinators to North and Southern Wales in order to help facilitate effective resettlement of young people who are in custody, or who have resettlement needs. This project has established several Reintegration and Resettlement Partnerships across Wales.

LloydysWorld CIC is a new community venture developing practical resettlement support for people in contact with the criminal justice system, including prison leavers, people on probation and those rebuilding their lives after custody.

We collect donated preloved clothing, textiles and essential goods, which we sort, wash, repair and prepare for redistribution. Our tailored parcels will include emergency and seasonal clothing, everyday essentials and interview-ready outfits, helping to remove practical barriers to accessing housing, employment, training and community services.

As our service develops, we plan to work with probation teams, prisons, housing providers, charities and community organisations to accept referrals and identify people who need support. We also aim to provide volunteering, purposeful activity and skills-building opportunities for people facing barriers to employment, including people with convictions. Through reuse, repair and upcycling, our work will create both social and environmental benefits.
