CFO Evolution Justice Service Support Worker in Custody

The Growth Company's (GC) Justice Services is looking for a CFO Evolution Justice Services Support Worker to provide rehabilitation and Employment Training and Education support within our Programme.

CFO Evolution provides tailored support for offenders, especially those who are disadvantaged, struggle to engage with mainstream services, face barriers to community reintegration, and lack essential life and functional skills needed by employers. 

This voluntary program includes through-the-gate elements to ensure comprehensive support not fully covered by existing initiatives.

This role is primarily based at HMP Humber; however, occasional cover at HMP Hull may be required to meet business needs.

This is a blended role combining case management and group facilitation. 

A significant part of your role will involve planning and delivering engaging group sessions that help participants develop confidence, communication skills, employability skills, and positive behaviours alongside providing one-to-one support.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver group learning sessions to enhance communication, social interaction, and employability skills.

• Identify individual learning needs and develop tailored action plans.

• Build strong, supportive relationships to encourage participant engagement.

• Accurately record activities and progress using the CRM system.

• Guide participants in implementing future-focused actions.

About You

• Proven experience planning, facilitating and delivering group sessions, workshops or learning activities, with the confidence to engage and motivate participants from a range of backgrounds.

• Proven experience working with offenders or individuals from marginalised backgrounds.

• Experience supporting individuals to overcome barriers and achieve personal, learning or employment goals.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.

• Ability to thrive in a target-driven environment.

• Warm, empathetic, and able to quickly build rapport with participants.

Skills Required

• Experience delivering structured group-based support, training, education or employability sessions.

• Desirable: Experience working within prison, probation or other criminal justice settings.

• Desired: Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and/or teaching qualifications.

• Strong understanding of offender rehabilitation and desistance theory.

• Knowledge of National Probation Service or HM Prison environments, and awareness of local and national training, education and employment opportunities.
