Female Link Worker (Ref: FLM-261)
Do you have a passion for supporting women facing complex challenges?
Are you committed to helping vulnerable individuals overcome barriers and build safer, more stable lives?
We're looking for a dedicated Female Link Worker to join Project Aurora in Kings Lynn. Working as part of a collaborative partnership, you will provide holistic, client-led support to women who have experienced domestic abuse and are struggling to access or maintain suitable housing.
About St Giles Trust
An ambitious, well-established charity that helps people facing adversity to find jobs, homes and the right support they need.
Central to our ethos is our belief that people with first-hand experience of successfully overcoming issues such as an offending background, homelessness, addictions and gang involvement, hold the key to positive change in others.
About the role
As a Female Link Worker, you will work directly with women who may be experiencing multiple disadvantages, including domestic abuse, housing instability, substance misuse, mental health challenges, and disengagement from support services.
Your role will focus on empowering women to access the support they need, improve their wellbeing, and move towards more positive and sustainable futures.
You will
- Deliver comprehensive assessments, advice, advocacy, and tailored support plans.
- Provide outreach support across the local community, helping women engage with housing, mental health, domestic abuse, and other specialist services.
- Build strong partnerships with local agencies and stakeholders to ensure a whole-system approach to support.
- Promote safeguarding and implement appropriate safety measures where required.
- Maintain accurate case records and contribute to achieving project outcomes and targets.
- Support women to develop long-term plans, reducing the risk of further crisis and helping them access ongoing support networks.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking someone who brings:
- Experience supporting vulnerable people with complex needs.
- Knowledge of issues affecting women experiencing domestic abuse.
- Experience providing advice, advocacy, support, and client-led interventions.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and partnership-working skills.
- A good understanding of safeguarding principles and risk management.
- Competent IT skills and experience maintaining accurate records.
- A full driving licence and access to transport.
A Level 3 qualification in Information, Advice and Guidance is desirable.
Why Join Us?
At St Giles Trust, we believe everyone is capable of changing their lives.
We work alongside people facing severe disadvantage to help them secure housing, employment, and access to vital support services.
Our peer-led approach empowers people to overcome barriers and build brighter futures for themselves and their communities.
We offer
- A comprehensive induction programme.
- Ongoing learning and development opportunities.
- Continuous support, supervision, and reflective practice.
- The opportunity to make a genuine difference in the lives of women across Kings Lynn.
An enhanced DBS check with Adult clearance is required for this role.
The role is fixed term until 30/11/2028.
Due to the nature of the service, the role is only open to female applicants and the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, Paragraph 1 applies to this post.
We are an equity and inclusion confident employer. We welcome all applications, and we particularly encourage applications from people of the global majority (black, brown, multi- heritage) and those who identify as disabled, neuro-expansive, neurodiverse, with any protected characteristics and/or social barriers or challenges. We value the empowering and informative impact that all lived experiences and diversity of thought can offer the organisation.
