Elizabeth Fry Charity operates a Ministry of Justice Approved Premises in Reading, offering a safe and supportive environment for up to 25 women.

The Opportunity
This is an exciting management role created to support the Charity’s growth and strengthen our leadership team.
As Resettlement and Support Manager, you will:
- Lead and inspire a team of Resettlement and Support Officers delivering 24/7 support to residents
- Be a visible, supportive presence for staff, particularly during evening hours
- Play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our services
- Contribute to wider management responsibilities, including participation in an On-Call rota
This is a 34 hour per week part time role, with a proposed working pattern of:
- Monday: 1pm – midnight
- Tuesday: 5pm – midnight
- Wednesday: 3pm – midnight
- Thursday: 5pm – midnight
We are also open to alternative working arrangements.
We offer a competitive salary for this role, with the full-time equivalent salary £ 39,106 - £46,688.

Job Description: Resettlement and Support Manager (Diploma in Probation Studies or equivalent professional qualification is desired, but not essential if required level of competency can be demonstrated).
Hours: 34 hours per week
Reports to: Operations Manager
Salary: £39,106 - £46,688 (FTE salary)
- To provide cover for other members of the management team (and other operational staff as may be reasonably required) during periods of absence/holiday/sickness
- To line manage all Resettlement and Support Officers, providing required supervision, 1:1 training and the completion of their appraisals.
- To line manage relief staff ensuring they are suitably trained and supported to undertake their role.
- To ensure staff for whom you have line management responsibility are suitably trained and have the appropriate skills and knowledge to undertake their roles competently
- To prepare the staff rota and allocate shift cover, using external relief as required, ensuring there is a required level of cover at the AP at all times including holidays and weekends.
- To approve and record annual leave for operational staff.
- To record sickness absence and undertake back to work interviews for employees you line manage in accordance with the Charity’s policies.
- To process all timesheets, liaising with the Finance Manager to ensure appropriate additional payments are made.
- To, alongside the Operations Manager, be responsible for recruiting new operational staff, liaising as required with the CEO.
To support the Operations Manager to ensure that residents assessed as posing an increased risk to self are managed under the CARE process.
To support the Referral and Premises Manager in the processing of referrals, as required.
- To ensure that wherever possible, resident inductions are completed and recorded in the required timeframe.
- To ensure that resident logs are completed to a high standard and that all relevant information is accurately entered onto NDelius and/or any other database provided by MOJ
- To ensure policy and procedure relating to resident’s medication are adhered to and that such policies are reviewed as necessary.
- To contribute to the completion of quarterly internal inspections and prepare outcome reports on these.
- To complete Health and Safety tasks appropriate to the role, including regular reviews of CCTV.
To contribute to the development and review of policy and practice, specifically, but not exclusively, within the remit of the postholder’s operational responsibilities
- To attend, and/or Chair (as required by CEO), relevant meetings pertinent to the work of Elizabeth Fry Charity, both within and outside of premises.
To participate in the ‘on call’ rota (for which an additional payment will be made)
- To undertake any other duties that may reasonably be requested by the Chief Executive Officer, Operations Manager or Trustees
