Become a Trustee with Finding Rhythms
Help us change lives through music
Finding Rhythms uses music as a catalyst to empower people to improve their lives. We deliver creative projects in prisons and in the community, supporting people at risk of offending to rebuild confidence, strengthen belonging, and shift how they see themselves.
Working with professional musicians, participants write, record, and release original music - often sharing their stories for the first time.
Participants also receive support to enhance their employability which includes gaining a King’s Trust qualification.
We are looking for a new Trustee to help guide our work, particularly someone with lived or professional experience of the criminal justice system.
Your insights will help us ensure our programmes remain authentic, relevant, and impactful for our participants.
What you’ll bring
- Personal or professional experience of the criminal justice system.
- A passion for creativity, equity, and social change.
- The ability to collaborate, challenge constructively, and contribute to strategic decisions.
What we offer
- A meaningful role shaping an organisation which uses music as a catalyst for change.
- The chance to make a difference to people who are most in need.
- The opportunity to influence how we amplify voices which are too often unheard.
- Support and training to grow into the Trustee role – no prior board experience is needed.
If you want to use your experience to help us empower others and use music as a catalyst to create opportunities, we’d love to hear from you.
