Young People’s Coordinator

As our Young People’s Coordinator, you’ll be responsible for championing our younger entrants (people aged under 25yrs).

You will seek to establish close working relations with staff at criminal justice settings that work with young people and look to find ways to ensure that the young people in these settings have their creativity inspired, motivated and seen, and that their voices are heard by public audiences and our stakeholders.

The successful post-holder will have

• Experience in working with disadvantaged or hard-to-reach young people.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Be proactive, detail-oriented, ambitious and adaptable.

What you will do

• Lead on the delivery and development of our of our Fast Feedback programme and its extension from people aged under 19 to those under 25.
• Conduct visits to Youth Offending Teams, Young Offenders Institutions and Secure Children’s Homes to promote the Koestler Awards, its fast feedback programme and explain the value of engaging in the arts with both existing and potential beneficiaries.
• To identify ways in which young people’s voices and experiences can be incorporated into decision making, including the charity's governance framework.
• Organise youth-led showcasing opportunities, co-creation projects and exhibitions.
