Join Our Team as a Criminal Justice Keyworker!
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of women involved in the criminal justice system?
We're looking for a dynamic and dedicated Criminal Justice Keyworker to join our team at the Bridgwater Women’s Centre, covering North Somerset.
Due to the nature of the work carried out in our Women’s Centres this role is restricted to female applicants only in accordance with the provisions of the occupational requirement (Equality Act 2010, pursuant to Schedule 9, Part 1).
The Nelson Trust is committed to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to undergo an enhanced Children & Adults DBS check.
What's in it for you
- Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
- Hours: 35 hours per week (with flexibility)
- Pension: Auto Enrolment Pension (6% employer contribution)
Your Role
- Provide 1:1 practical and emotional support to women in the Criminal Justice System.
- Collaborate with various organisations, including Voluntary, Statutory, and Criminal Justice agencies.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of client needs, including health, psychological, and social aspects.
- Develop and review gender-responsive support plans aimed at promoting personal change.
- Attend multi-agency meetings and act as an advocate for clients.
What We’re Looking For
- At least 2 years’ experience working with women with multiple complex needs.
- Strong partnership development skills with local organisations.
- Experience in needs assessments, risk assessments, and support plan development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A full driving license and willingness to travel.
