Women’s Centre Manager – Female (Cardiff, Swansea and Newport)
The Nelson Trust provides holistic support for women involved with the Criminal Justice System (CJS) under the supervision of the National Probation Service. Women include those serving a community order and women released from HMP Eastwood Park.
The Nelson Trust Women’s Centres offer gender-responsive, trauma-informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs including housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & families, and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential.
The Nelson Trust Women’s Centres are a unique resource – a safe, women-only space where a wide range of problems related to offending, safety and well-being can be addressed in a warm and supportive environment.
As the Centre Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the Women’s Centre, whilst providing support and line management to keyworkers. You will offer women gender-responsive, trauma-informed practical and emotional support and interventions to address needs with housing, substance misuse, health, finance, previous trauma, children & and families and education, training and employment with the aim of reducing social harms and re-offending whilst empowering women to access opportunities to reach their full potential.
We have three positions available, one in each of the following Women’s Centres: Cardiff, Swansea and Newport.
