Genesis was a key delivery partner in the piloted Suffolk Prolific Persistent Offender service which began 5 years ago and grew signficantly over time. It was a highly regarded service in Suffolk with praise from the local police that crime decreased locally by 46%.
In 2011, Norfolk and Suffolk Probation stated: “The critical success factor for the scheme is the selection, recruitment, training and retention of the right people. In my view Genesis have achieved this by getting the right people to do the right things in the right way at the right time for the right clients. On a number of occasions I have been impressed by the excellent work of the IOM Recovery Workers in Suffolk.” We were successful in the tender of the service in 2012 and now provide an expanded and fully integrated Support Treatment Accommodation Recovery programme, more commonly known as STARS.
We are in the process of producing an evidential based report on the programme's successes and learning to date.
