The Black & Global Majority Briefing for Criminal Justice-Coming In September

Over the past nine months, through the CLINKS Annual Conference and conversations Black Men 4 Change has had with more than 130 Black and Global Majority professionals and allies, one message has come through consistently: the sector needs a platform that amplifies Black and Global Majority expertise year-round, not only as a reaction when race dominates the political headlines.
We're inviting you to help build it.
Two ways to get involved
1. Join the Editorial Group
We're recruiting two additional people with lived experience of the criminal justice sector to join our independent 'By and For' Editorial Group, meeting every two months to shape the Briefing's themes, priorities and direction.
A modest stipend is paid in recognition of your time.
2. Become a Founding Reader
We're inviting the first 300 people to become our Founding 300, with early access, opportunities to influence future editions, invitations to editorial conversations and priority access to selected events.
We'll also randomly select three Founding Readers to receive a special Founding Reader Experience.
Above all, we want your honest feedback: what works, what doesn't, what's worth building.
Why now?
The criminal justice sector is in crisis, and we believe an uncertain road to the next General Election, whether it's years or months away, creates a genuine opportunity to influence the future direction of policy and practice.
Beginning in September 2026, Black Men 4 Change, with the allyship of CLINKS and other leading lights in the sector, will launch a seven-month pilot of The BGM Briefing, a monthly digital briefing and accompanying podcast bringing together practitioners, policymakers, commissioners, funders, researchers and people with lived experience.
Success will be judged by whether The BGM Briefing earns the trust of the people shaping criminal justice, and becomes a platform the sector believes is worth sustaining.
