NEWSFLASH | Independent Review of the Prison System: Opportunities to Share your Input!

Are you an organisation or individual with particular interest or expertise in prisons keen to shape the future of the system?

The Independent Review of the Prison System, led by Amber Rudd, has now launched a call for evidence which seeks respondents’ views on the biggest risks facing the prison system, and the main opportunities to address these risks and improve outcomes. It will focus on what needs to be done over the next 5 to 15 years in order to secure the long-term sustainability and resilience of the prison system. The deadline for the call for evidence is 31st August.

Clinks are coordinating two opportunities for you to share your input with us:

We are hosting dedicated roundtables on Wednesday 12 August (10:00am-11:30am) and Monday 24 August (2:00pm-3:30pm). Both sessions will provide the same opportunity to input into the prisons review, therefore you only need to attend one date.

Drawing on frontline experience, service user & lived experience insight, and data, to highlight both challenges and effective practice across the system, discussions from these roundtables will inform a shared submission to help amplify the voice of the voluntary sector.
