Clinks events and training
September 2025
Welcome to our latest events update! At Clinks, we are dedicated to supporting voluntary organisations within the criminal justice system through engaging events and training opportunities.
Women’s Network Forum
10:00, 09 September | online | free
Our quarterly women’s networking forums, hosted in partnership with the Agenda Alliance, provide vital support, information, and networking opportunities for those working with women in contact with the criminal justice system. Featuring policy updates, member activity highlights, and guest speakers, these forums also offer a platform for organisations to share key issues impacting women, enabling Clinks to raise these at national government meetings through the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3). Join us to stay informed and contribute to creating positive change for women. Book your place here
Families Network Forum
13:00, 30 September | online | free
Join us at the Families Network Meeting! Clinks Families Network meetings provide support, information and networking opportunities to those supporting families who have contact with the criminal justice system. We also welcome a broader network of agencies, academic institutions and community support services who put the needs of families at the heart of what they do. These meetings provide updates on policy directly from HMPPS, identify member activity and invite speakers to address relevant topics. We gather feedback on key issues that are raised by the members to enable Clinks to feed them into the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) meetings. Book your place here
Problem-Solving Courts for Women: What the Evidence Tells Us
12:00, 14 October | online | free
Following the publication of the Independent Sentencing Review’s final report, the Government is now expected to expand the provision of women’s problem-solving courts (WPSC), otherwise known as Intensive Supervision Courts. Given this context, this latest evidence review explores the evolution of the evidence-base on the effectiveness of WPSCs, both in the UK and internationally. Join us for a webinar with Dr Sarah Waite and Dr Alexandra Bradley, chaired by Russell Webster, as they discuss their review. There will also be an opportunity to ask questions of the academics. Working and Volunteering in Prisons Training
10:00, 22 October | online | from £95
Join us at this three-hour training session for voluntary sector staff and volunteers in which we aim to raise awareness of the prison environment and provide information on key aspects such as staffing structures and departments, prison procedures and current challenges associated with working in prisons. We will explore ways in which voluntary sector staff can have meaningful and professional engagement with prisons operationally, as well as ensuring safety and responsible ways of working are understood and prioritised.
