Programme announced
Dear delegate,
We look forward to seeing you on the 3 December at the Clinks annual conference 2024: Connecting for Change: voluntary sector engagement in criminal justice. This year attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a variety of thought-provoking and reflective sessions, which will aim to inspire and influence change on an individual, organisational and wider strategic level. The event will also showcase the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance (NCJAA).
Workshops and panel discussions
Morning keynote panel
How will the OneHMPPS model identify and involve the voluntary sector to meet area-based needs and priorities?
Our morning panellists will share their views and experiences and experiences on the panel theme, reflecting on the benefits and challenges for the voluntary sector operating in devolved and non-devolved areas.
In the morning and afternoon two workshop series will run, each with three workshops delivered by members of the Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) and sector partners.
Workshop series 1
- The Women’s Justice Board: ensuring expertise from the specialist women’s sector drives change
- Exploring funding flows to the criminal justice voluntary sector
- Connecting health with wellbeing - exploring the impact of social prescribing in reducing health inequalities in criminal justice.
Workshop series 2
- Gathering to Build Power - using a creative response for discussion and debate.
- Breaking Barriers – addressing stigma for families affected by the criminal justice system
- Tackling racial disparities across the criminal justice system – tools and opportunities
Afternoon keynote
Lord Timpson – Minister for Prisons, Probation and Reducing Reoffending
Hear from Lord Timpson, as he talks about his new role, his priorities and the role of the voluntary sector. Followed by a short Q&A.
