Clinks events and training
June 2024
Clinks run events and training for voluntary organisations working in the criminal justice system. We hear time and time again that organisations feel stronger alongside others and enjoy being part of a well-connected network.
If you have any ideas of events and training that would benefit you/your organisation, please contact us at events@clinks.org
Come to one of our upcoming events to stay connected, learn something new and work together for a better criminal justice system.
Navigating the criminal justice system workshop
09:30, 4 June | online | from £75
Are you new to working or volunteering in the criminal justice system? Do you have volunteers or staff members who want to increase their understanding of the criminal justice system?
The criminal justice system as a whole can be quite daunting to understand because of both its size and complexity.
Join us at this three-hour workshop for voluntary sector staff and volunteers in which we aim to increase awareness of and provide the opportunity to explore and discuss how the criminal justice system is organised, the complexities within it, and how it works.
The workshop will explore the different elements of, and the various structures within, the criminal justice system, including government departments, regional and local statutory agencies, and the role of the voluntary sector, the services they provide and its work in supporting people. Working and volunteering in prisons training
10:00, 19 June | online | from £95
Are you new to working or volunteering in prisons? Do you have volunteers or staff members who want to increase their understanding of the prison system?
Working or volunteering in a prison can be quite daunting due to the many complexities associated with its unique environment and establishing the role of the voluntary sector within that can be challenging.
Join us at this three-hour training session for voluntary sector staff and volunteers in which we aim to raise awareness of the prison environment and provide information on key aspects such as staffing structures and departments, prison procedures and current challenges associated with working in prisons.

The forums provide an opportunity to gather feedback and key issues raised by organisations working with women in contact with the criminal justice system, enabling Clinks to reflect these to national government at Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) meetings.
