Express your interest in joining the RR3 SIG on Staffing
Help us to understand the current staffing issues within the criminal justice system (across prison and probation services and the voluntary sector) and to develop the solutions needed to mitigate them.
Calling voluntary sector organisations!
We are calling on any voluntary organisation working within criminal justice to join the RR3 Staffing Special Interest Group. For any questions, or to express your interest in participating, please contact our RR3 Secretariat, Bronte Jack.
The first session of this group will be held on Wednesday 24 January 2024 (12:00pm – 2:00pm).
About the RR3 Staffing SIG
The Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) is made up of senior experts from the voluntary sector and meets quarterly with civil servants to provide guidance and feedback on prison and probation policy developments.
The RR3 can also convene time-limited Special Interest Groups (SIGs) to explore certain topics in more depth, and to subsequently provide a range of practical policy recommendations.
We will be holding a Staffing SIG, which will focus on the following areas:
- Recruitment and retention within both statutory organisations and the voluntary sector
- Reducing burnout within the existing workforce
- Exploring reward and incentive schemes for staff
- Developing career pathways across the system
- Encouraging and developing careers for people with lived experience
- Understanding and offering solutions to ongoing vetting challenges
Expression of interest in the SIG is open to all, and we welcome broad engagement from those working in the sector.
