CLINKS NEWS: Clinks annual conference 2023- we want to hear from you!
Our annual conference this year "Making race and justice everybody's business" will be taking place on [22 November in London] - tickets will be going on sale later this month so watch this space for further details. We would like our programme to be led by our specialist members who provide support to/are led by racially minoritised people so that we can take the opportunity for the wider sector to come together and embrace the opportunity to learn and commit to prioritising action in tackling racial inequity in the criminal justice system. CLINKS MEMBER'S NEWS: free meeting space for organisations engaging young people in Birmingham
Jonah's Project Interception Hub have free spaces available for use in Birmingham City Centre to organisations who engage with young people aged 11-25. The spaces can be used for meetings, sessions or even to hotdesk. Spaces can be booked here
Jonah's Project CIC is a community interest company that provides services to young people aged 11-25 years, who are convicted, involved or at risk of criminal activity. Find out more here
CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM: Insights23 in-person event tickets
The VIP tickets have now closed but there is still time to book your tickets to secure your place at our in-person events by [8 September] where events are still available. At these events you can:
• engage with key stakeholders
• connect with people across the criminal justice system
• go on site visits and tours
• see project showcases
• experience interactive workshops
• gain hands-on experience.
You can also continue to book tickets for the online events which will remain open until two days before the event date during the festival period [25 September to 6 October]. Do not leave it too late as some events are selling out fast. You are reminded to put your events in your diary and cancel your tickets if you cannot attend.

CLINKS MEMBER’S EVENT: Faithguarding Hackney
'Faithguarding Hackney' by Socio Logical, is safeguarding training for faith based organisations in Hackney [19 September, 18:00 - 20:00, online, free]. By the end of the workshop participants will have:
- An understanding of the current climate and debates regarding racism and religious inspired extremism
- Understand the factors that influence youth violence
- Have explored violence prevention through a community centred co-produced model
- Have explored prevention and desistance in relation to racism, radicalisation and extremism
- Gained practical tools for credible interventions as well as signposting mechanisms.

OPPORTUNITY: research project – criminal court experienced women with caring responsibilities
A research project affiliated with the Griffins Society is seeking to interview women who have experience of attending criminal court with caring responsibilities in England and Wales. The project aims to understand and improve the court experience, and will develop the interview findings into a report with recommendations for change.
Participation will involve a 30-60 minute online interview, and participants will receive a £40 shopping voucher.
