Dear colleague,
We have launched the 2023 State of the sector survey. This is your chance to tell us about the challenges your organisation has faced over the last year and to help us influence key decision makers on your behalf and ensure that our support meets your needs.
Make your voice heard
Without a meaningful response from Welsh organisations, we are unable to highlight to both the Welsh and UK governments the challenges that the voluntary sector working in criminal justice face. Your information helps us make the case to commissioners and funders that more investment is needed in services that support people going through the criminal justice system. The data that you give us also allows us to showcase the amazing work that you do and highlight the services that you provide to support those that are in the criminal justice system.
It is vitally important that we hear from the voluntary sector working in criminal justice in Wales so that we can understand the landscape across the country. The data that we get from our State of the sector survey provides us with extensive and highly-respected evidence which is presented to a wide range of stakeholders, including key decision makers.
Overall, the number of responses was down on the previous year, and we reflected on what this meant for our findings, and the reasons behind it. A significant proportion of those who responded were from medium and large organisations, and we heard from fewer smaller organisations than in the past. So, if you represent a small organisation, we particularly want to hear from you!
It is vital that we understand how small and specialist organisations are faring and we know that the vast majority of the sector who work in criminal justice in Wales fall into those categories, making it even more essential that we hear the voices of Welsh organisations in this survey.
Read our blog: State of the sector 2023 survey: why your response is crucial to find out more about how we use your responses and why your voice matters!
