CLINKS NEWS: an update on commissioning
Clinks have written a blog to provide a commissioning update following a meeting with representatives from His Majesty’s Prison and Probation service (HMPPS) and the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) where commissioning concerns and challenges faced by the voluntary sector working in criminal justice were outlined. Read the blog here.
CLINKS NEWS: doing personal stories justice
Stories are powerful, and stories from lived experience can be particularly effective in shining a light on why things need to change. In this interactive workshop you’ll learn about framing your own story, or how to support other people to tell theirs. [10:00, 11 April, online, free]. The session will draw insights from FrameWorks UK’s latest work focused on criminal justice, and from their research in other areas such as poverty and homelessness. Book your place here.
CLINKS NEWS: Wales criminal justice forum
The quarterly "All Wales criminal justice forum" brings together partners working across the criminal justice system in Wales [10:00, 20 April, online, free]. They provide an opportunity to network, discuss opportunities for joint working and showcase best practice. Speakers will discuss some of the latest government policy developments that impact organisations working in Wales. Book your place here.
CLINKS NEWS: No place for old men: what the evidence tells us
Louise Ridley, senior lecturer in Criminology at Northumbria University, will discuss the latest evidence around the key issues and challenges of our ageing prison population [20 April, 14:00, online, free].
This is part of Clinks “A matter of fact: what the evidence tells us” series, to accompany our Evidence Library, giving you the chance to ask your own questions of leading academics talking about the latest research on an important criminal justice topic. Book your place here.
