CLINKS MEMBER’S TRAINING: living below the breadline
Society Matters CIC is providing this training [11 January, 9am - 11am, £45.00]. The concept of poverty is generally understood, but the real-life impact that it is having on your employees, your colleagues, your customers/clients and your community can be difficult to fully appreciate if you are fortunate enough to have never walked in those shoes. Through real-life case studies, this training session invites you to take a step out of your own life to understand the dynamics, drivers and implications for people on low incomes who are struggling with their financial wellbeing. The session will support you to come up with new ideas and solutions to support your own workforce’s financial wellbeing too. Book here.
CLINKS MEMBER’S TRAINING: in work benefits: a guide for employers
Society Matters CIC is providing this training [11 January, 1:00pm - 3:00pm, £45.00]. This in-work benefits workshop is designed to help employers to understand what welfare benefits apply to people who are working, who qualifies, and what practically they can do to support. Book here.

Only about 14% of initial Personal Independence Payment (PIP) applications are successful first-time round, and 1 in 4 people with a long-term health condition or disability are believed to give up on their PIP application due to a lack of support or because the application process has made them feel worse. This training will support you to understand what PIP is, who is eligible for PIP, and how to apply for it. Book here.
CLINKS MEMBER’S TRAINING: housing and homelessness matter
This CPD accredited training is provided by Society Matters cic [30 January, 9am - 3pm, online, £59.50]. The direct link between housing matters and physical and mental health makes housing a critical factor in achieving a life well lived. A safe, secure roof over their heads is the linchpin in families being able to thrive but, for many, significant instability comes from housing challenges, some of which can be avoided with access to the right information at the right time. If you are a professional who supports people with any aspect of their financial or emotional wellbeing this Housing Matters Training is designed for you. Book here.
NON-MEMBER’S EVENTS AND TRAINING: transitional safeguarding seminar
