CLINKS NEWS: Stronger Voice - free communications coaching
Clinks is working with charity communications and policy expert Gemma Buckland to provide a new round of free coaching for a small number of voluntary organisations working in the criminal justice system. Clinks members can receive one-to-one coaching as well as the opportunity for peer learning with other organisations, supporting you to develop language and tools that can help you more effectively communicate your work and speak out on issues that matter. To apply, you must be a member of staff or volunteer working for the voluntary sector. Preference will be given to organisations specialising in working with women or racially minoritised people and those with an annual income of under £750,000. This offer is part of Stronger Voice, a programme funded by the Lloyds Bank Foundation for England and Wales. Apply here
CLINKS NEWS: celebrating the work of Trustees
7 - 11 November is Trustees' Week. We would like to take this opportunity to highlight and celebrate the important role Trustees play within the voluntary sector. At Clinks, our Trustees lead our organisation with a blend of extensive knowledge, authentic experience and a range of diverse backgrounds that ensure we are in the best position to support the sector. To acknowledge the importance of diverse representation and gender equality at leadership levels, we asked our Trustees; "Is diversity important on a board and why does it matter?". Visit us at @Clinks_Tweets on Twitter to read some of our Trustees responses and to find out more about Trustees' week and what our members are doing to celebrate. We would also like to acknowledge the role Beyond Suffrage played in helping us diversify our board of Trustees during last year's recruitment drive. To learn more about the value of lived experience and diversity in our Trustee board, read our blog.

FUNDING: new grant scheme for resettlement support
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has launched a new grant scheme for resettlement support for children leaving custody [Applications close at noon, Friday 16 December]. The programme aims to test a new form of personal support to improve their outcomes and reduce reoffending in the long term. The grant funding is for delivery in 2023/24-2024/25. The successful service provider will employ resettlement ‘link-workers’ who will provide intensive one-to-one support to children across England and Wales for at least six months, starting in custody and continuing into the community. The opportunity is open to all voluntary and community sector organisations, but experience of providing support to children in the youth justice system is desirable. The MoJ also welcomes consortium bids from multiple organisations working in partnership. For further information, please click here.
