Dear Clinks member,
We have launched our 2022 State of the sector survey and would like to invite your organisation - as a Clinks member - to participate. This is an opportunity to make your voice heard by key decision makers, help us influence policy and practice on your behalf and tell us your needs so that our support can help meet them.
In our last survey, voluntary organisations working in criminal justice told us they were deeply concerned that the full impact of Covid-19 on people in the criminal justice system was yet to be felt. Respondents were concerned over the future availability of funding that would help their organisation adapt, grow and remain sustainable in the longer-term. There were also concerns about recruitment and retention of staff; a worrying reduction in volunteer numbers; and we heard from organisations who were seeing changes in how people in the criminal justice system wanted to access services following the pandemic. Is this the case for you? How have things changed for your organisation over the last year?
Year on year our research has shown the strengths of the voluntary sector. This was clearly highlighted during the pandemic. Despite having to deliver in often challenging environments with limited resources, the voluntary sector is resilient, innovative and remains committed to delivering high quality, diverse services to meet rising demand. At Clinks, we are proud to support and represent such an inspirational, diverse and committed sector that makes a real difference to people’s lives.
In our 2021 survey, we heard from over 100 voluntary sector organisations working in criminal justice. These responses provide highly respected evidence about the sector from which we are able to influence policy and decisions that affect you, and ensure our support meets your needs. The responses contributed to a report which was given to key policy decision makers and provides a vital source of evidence for a range of stakeholders.
If we are to best represent and support you, we need the most up-to-date evidence on how you are faring and what your needs are. I would be very grateful if you or a colleague could take 20 minutes to respond to our 2022 State of the sector survey and tell us about the successes and challenges your organisation has faced over the last year.
The survey closes on 25 July. If you have any questions about the survey, please contact franklin.barrington@clinks.org who is leading on this work in our team.
Help us to keep on supporting you, and organisations like you, whatever challenges you face.
Please respond to the survey here
With my very best wishes,
Chris
