CLINKS NEWS: give your opinion on future regime design
The Reducing Reoffending Third Sector Advisory Group (RR3) will be convening a special interest group on future regime design where a National Regime Model (NRM) will be developed. The NRM will act as a framework, providing infrastructure, parameters and products, to support resettlement and reducing reoffending objectives. The Future Regime Design team believe the voluntary sector can bring significant value to the design and delivery of this work and invite you to get involved. Discussion points will include new tiered regimes and how to link governors/establishments with the sector effectively. The first meeting will be held on [22 July]. To find out more or to submit an expression of interest in joining this group, please use this Microsoft form by [12pm, 13 July].

CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM: Information Assurance for grants and potential suppliers
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) sets out the levels of Information Assurance certification required (Dynamic Framework schedule 2.4) for suppliers according to whether or not they access MoJ systems and how many data records they will be holding. Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises (IASME) or ISO certification is acceptable. The MoJ encourages organisations working with people on probation to improve their information security and prepare to reach the necessary standards in advance or any grant or contract award. Please follow this link for IASME Certification scheme - Security Guidance (justice.gov.uk)
CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM: Neurodiversity in the criminal justice system
The Ministry of Justice (MoJ) has published their action plan in response to the Neurodiversity in the criminal justice system report from July of 2021 in an attempt to address the six recommendations that the report suggests. Positively, the MoJ has committed to working closely with all agencies involved in the criminal justice system, including those in the voluntary sector, to ensure that the needs of neurodivergent people are well met. However, they have only partially agreed to the other recommendations such as instituting a universal screening tool, making adjustments to meet the needs of neurodivergent individuals in prison, developing a neurodivergence strategy, and the collection of improved screening data.
