CLINKS MEMBER’S NEWS: National impact – Taking Hero’s Journey coaching to new regions in partnership
In July 2021, Spark Inside embarked on their first ever pilot partnership project to deliver their award-winning Hero’s Journey life coaching programme to young men in HMP Lincoln. Collaborating with Lincolnshire Action Trust (LAT), this pilot showed that working in partnership with an organisation like LAT, who are experienced, efficient, values-led and committed to rehabilitation, enabled the delivery of high standard coaching, which ultimately leads to the best possible outcomes for the young people they work with. If you have lived experience of the criminal justice system, please share your views and experiences regarding the following questions: 1. How can prison education prepare people in prison for employment? 2. How can prisons increase the number of people in prison engaged in education? 3. Does education contribute to reducing reoffending? If so (or not) how & why? Please email jamie@insideout.wales with your contribution.
