North East criminal justice forum

This forum will focus on partnerships and collaboration, with an opportunity to discuss the challenges and opportunities partnership working can bring to your organisation. We will hear from a range of speakers who will share their experiences of developing partnerships with other voluntary organisations, and collaborating with prisons and probation. There will also be a chance to discuss the current needs of the voluntary sector to enable stronger partnership working. Book your place here
Stronger voice: influencing locally

Part of the first phase of Clinks’ stronger voice training programme, the aim of this workshop is for participants to understand where power lies at different levels of local and devolved government, how it can be challenged, co-opted and changed, how different types of local government work and how to engage with councillors and officers. London criminal justice forum

This forum will include guest speakers Ben Andrew from Why me? who will be discussing restorative justice, and representatives from the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime (MOPAC) as they seek best practice for stakeholder engagement. Our London criminal justice forums aim to bring together partners working across the criminal justice system. They are an opportunity for people working in the criminal justice system in London to discuss policy and practice affecting their day to day work. Book your place here
Health and justice network meeting

Our health and justice network meetings bring together voluntary sector organisations who deliver health services to people in contact with the criminal justice system to discuss health issues and inequalities that affect their service users, and how they deliver their services. The meetings also include updates from Clinks’ policy team, as well as a chance to share updates and concerns. Book your place here
Stronger voice: introduction to influencing policy
21st October, 10am | online | free
Part of the first phase of Clinks’ stronger voice training programme, this training is designed to support people working for voluntary organisations in the criminal justice system to better understand policy making processes in government. The session will use examples from the criminal justice system, based on Justice Select Committee inquiries which examined how the Ministry of Justice developed and implemented particular policies, to illustrate the theory and reality of the policymaking process and how voluntary organisations can seek to influence it.
