Supporting you to strengthen your voice
Videos and case studies available
Have you ever wondered how you can influence government thinking on criminal justice policy? Perhaps you have lots of experience but are looking to pick up something new?
We have published three case studies to support you to strengthen your voice and develop your criminal justice policy influencing skills, along with video recordings from our expert seminars for you to delve deeper. Find out what Clinks means by policy influencing, learn about Unlock’s ‘strategic litigation’ approach in a legal challenge brought against the government for its criminal record disclosure regime that led to significant changes, and pick up key learnings from Prison Reform Trust’s strategy for influencing policy with a particular focus on Indeterminate Public Protection sentences.

These resources were developed as part of our Stronger Voice project funded by Lloyds Bank Foundation, which kicked off earlier this year with a series of expert seminars focused on helping the voluntary sector working in criminal justice develop a unified and influential voice, at both a national and regional level.
We will be running a further series of online seminars to help give insight into what other organisations are doing, as well as generate ideas for identifying where you could have influence. Keep an eye our website and Light Lunch for further information.
