Understanding the voluntary sector’s experience of the probation reform programme
The new probation model, due to be introduced in June 2021, has a clear policy intention to involve the voluntary sector in the delivery of rehabilitation and resettlement services.
We have launched a survey to understand your experience so far of the commissioning of these services, and want to hear from criminal justice arts organisations. We want to understand the future role of the voluntary sector in delivering rehabilitation and resettlement services and determine whether the commissioning process, through the Dynamic Framework, has had an impact on the voluntary sector’s involvement.
We want to hear from you
- Do you work with people in contact with the criminal justice system but chose not to qualify onto the Dynamic Framework or bid for contracts?
- Did you want to deliver probation services but were unsuccessful at some point in the process?
- Were you successful in winning one or more contracts?
We want to hear about your experience.
What next?
Your responses will be used to create an in-depth report in collaboration with the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research, the University of Wolverhampton and the Institute for Voluntary Action Research. This report will be used to reflect the voluntary sector's experiences and detail lessons learnt that can be used to inform future commissioning of voluntary sector services.
The survey will close on 23rd June.
