BAME consultancy support still available
Express interest by 27th January
There is still time to apply for consultancy support specifically for black, Asian and minority ethnic (BAME) led and specialist organisations working with, or interested in working with, people in contact with the criminal justice system and their families.
Eligible organisations can access up to five days of support which will be tailored to their organisational and strategic needs such as fundraising strategy, partnership development, HR or illustrating impact. This funding aims to help organisations identify and overcome any potential barriers to engaging with the new probation arrangements and other statutory partners, and we hope this funding will help to build the capacity of specialist organisations led by and focused on supporting the needs of BAME people in the criminal justice system, including diversion and early intervention in England and Wales.
Eligibility criteria:
- You are a voluntary organisation (registered charity or incorporated social enterprise) operating in England and Wales
- Your annual income does not exceed £250,000
- You are a BAME-led or BAME-specialist organisation.
Clinks is administering this funding on behalf of MoJ and HMPPS and we are working in partnership with Eastside Primetimers to identify the consultants and training support required.
Organisations do not have to have worked in the criminal justice system before – if you are interested in exploring opportunities to support individuals in the criminal justice system we would love to hear from you.
To apply for this opportunity, we require a short Expression of Interest by 27th January.

Applicants are invited to join a briefing roundtable on 26th January, 2-3:30pm. More information will be sent on receipt of your Expression of Interest.
