Greater Manchester and HMPPS Co-commissioning probation services: Women's Services contract lot
14th January | online | free
This is the third in a series of engagement events that Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and Clinks are hosting to help voluntary organisations understand the co-commissioning process for probation services in Greater Manchester as part of the new probation model.
This event will specifically be looking at the Women’s Services contract lot.
Greater Manchester will not be procuring probation services through the Dynamic Framework commissioning process from June 2021. Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) is instead co-commissioning these services with GMCA.
This Greater Manchester devolved approach is an alternative route to HMPPS's Dynamic Framework. Greater Manchester has the flexibility to diverge from national or standard policy and direction, an opportunity afforded by the Justice Devolution agreement with the Ministry of Justice.
Greater Manchester has developed and delivered a Whole System Approach for Vulnerable and Marginalised Women co-commissioned with probation providers and other partners since 2014. This event will look at the Women’s Services contract lot to support this approach.
