Opportunities from the NCJAA
Season’s greetings from the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance (NCJAA). We wish you all a safe and restful break over the holidays, and look forward to seeing you (perhaps in person!) in 2021.
There won’t be a newsletter from the NCJAA this month – the NCJAA team will be out of the virtual office from 23rd December to 4th January. We will be sending our next newsletter on Thursday 28th January, so please email info@artsincriminaljustice.org.uk with any news, research, events, opportunities or blog proposals by 20th January.
Before we go, we’d like to share two exciting, paid opportunities to contribute to the NCJAA’s sector support activities in 2021.
Network call-out: deliver the NCJAA professional development bursary scheme
Apply by 11th January
The NCJAA is seeking an arts in criminal justice organisation to support us in the delivery of our 2020-21 professional development bursary scheme. Our bursary scheme has been running since 2017, providing flexible, bespoke grants to support emerging and experienced practitioners in the field to pursue professional development activities. We are looking for an organisation to deliver the 2020-21 scheme, from planning to decision-making, with awards granted in March 2021. The successful applicant will receive a management fee for administering the scheme equivalent to 15% of the total grant pot. Read more and find out how to apply here
Network call-out: evaluate the NCJAA professional mentoring scheme
Apply by 11th January
We are looking for an experienced researcher to evaluate our professional mentoring scheme. By matching early career practitioners with experts within the field, the scheme aims to expand opportunities for individuals to develop professional skills and knowledge in the field of arts and criminal justice through one-to-one mentoring relationships. In order to make sure the scheme meets the needs of participants, we are looking for someone to produce a summary evaluation report covering the effectiveness of the scheme and making practical recommendations for improvements when the scheme recommences in 2021. This opportunity is open to academic researchers, research consultants and other independent researchers. Read more and find out how to apply here
