Applications are still being accepted for our Covid-19 response grants programme
We continue to welcome applications from all voluntary organisations with an existing relationship with HMPPS and with under £500,000 annual income. We are delighted to be distributing this much-needed funding on behalf of Her Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) and the Ministry of Justice. For more information about who we welcome applications from, take a look at the grants programme in more detail. You can also see this blog from CEO Anne Fox for more on the context of the programme and the impact of the pandemic on the sector.
Almost two months after launching our Covid-19 response grants programme, we’ve funded 29 organisations, which means over half of the funding has been distributed so far. With lockdown rules gradually changing both in custody and in the community, our decision-making panel has been carefully managing the programme and has needed to make some very tough decisions to ensure funds remain to support organisations as needs change. We’ll soon share a more detailed update of the organisations funded to date and how this programme will help support organisations as the pandemic continues.
