New book published today
We're delighted to announce the launch of Crime & Consequence - what should happen to people who commit criminal offences? This is the third in the series of books curated by the Monument Fellowship and edited this year by Clinks and the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance.
Crime & Consequence is a collection of essays and creative reflections from over 65 people with lived and professional experience of the justice system. It includes contributions from voluntary sector organisations, people in prison and leading academics.
The book explores the range of stages in the criminal justice system including arrest, community sentences, prison sentences and release. It reflects on how we might better address specific types of crimes and treat different groups of people who commit them.
Anne Fox, Clinks' CEO has written a blog about her experience of editing the book with Alison Frater. Read it here.
The book is for sale via the Koestler Arts website priced at £10.
It is also available as a free digital PDF download from the Clinks website.
