6.30pm, 15th October | London | £10
With only one month to go until our 2019 Anne Peaker lecture and limited tickets remaining, book soon to guarantee your place.
We will be joined by keynote speaker François Matarasso, whose lecture will explore the history of participatory arts in criminal justice settings and its importance in terms of human rights and power. François will also acknowledge Anne Peaker’s pioneering practice - which forms the basis of the National Criminal Justice Arts Alliance's work today.
François is a community artist. His work embraces creative projects, research and writing. Described as "the only work on participatory art that you will need to own and want to read", his latest book A Restless Art: How participation won, and why it matters gives an extensive account of the theory, history and practice of community art in Europe.
