Can you develop ground-breaking research to explore the impact of arts in criminal justice?
Building on the success of past research projects and the online Evidence Library, the Arts Alliance want to develop a large-scale research project that explores a co-ordinated programme of arts activity to help us further understand how and in what way arts interventions can contribute to offender's lives and the wider community. The overall aim of this proposed programme of activity is to bring about a step-change in both the credibility and the reach of arts projects within the Criminal Justice System.
We are looking for a suitable academic research partner(s) to help us design and test a range of hypotheses through rigorous and innovative research. We envisage working with a well-established, lead researcher with expertise in the field alongside a portfolio of researcher(s) to bring specific expertise to the programme of work.
Please note the Arts Alliance has not yet secured funding for this project. We intend to work collaboratively with the identified research organisation to secure funding from a range of sources, which may include approaching the Arts and Humanities Research Council, Economic and Social Research Council or Arts Council England.
If you are interested in applying for this opportunity, please submit your expression of interest to jessica.plant@clinks.org by 5pm, 31st May 2014.
