Interested in leading a dynamic membership association for providers of arts activities in prisons and community settings?
The National Alliance for Arts in Criminal Justice (NAACJ) is seeking an enthusiastic and collaborative leader as its new Chair
The NAACJ is a dynamic and well-organised membership association for providers of arts activities with offenders in prisons and community settings. With a combination of funding from charitable trusts and the public sector, the NAACJ has two staff, whose work includes events, training, publications and research. Clinks, the national infrastructure organisation for criminal justice charities, acts as the accountable body for the NAACJ, and delegates decision-making to a Steering Group elected by the 700+ membership.
The NAACJ has developed an ambitious 4-year plan, Inspiring Futures, which aims to bring about a step-change in the reach and credibility of arts in criminal justice through a coordinated set of projects dovetailed with high-profile research from the University of Cambridge.
As Chair, you will oversee the delivery of Inspiring Futures through a balance of leadership and inclusivity. You will bring knowledge of either arts or criminal justice, and strong skills in multi-agency working, governance and communications.
