Clinks is holding an event to discuss service user involvement in strategic leadership and senior management positions.
Clinks thinks the Ministry of Justice, commissioners, and all service providers should embed the involvement of people with lived experience throughout the criminal justice system to inform policy and practice. This needs to extend into strategic leadership and senior management positions.
In this event, we will be discussing the value of having people with lived experience of the criminal justice system in trustee and senior leadership positions. We will also discuss the barriers of Charity Commission rules and guidance for voluntary sector organisations, specifically changes to the rules on recruiting trustees and senior managers with criminal records.
This event is for anyone seeking to embed the role of lived experience further into their work and to understand more about involving people with lived experience in strategic leadership and senior management positions.

This event will be conducted through Zoom, an online meeting platform. As security and privacy is important to we’re adapting our procedures in line with the latest security guidance from Zoom. We have:
- Implemented the latest security functions as standard, including requiring registration, passwords and waiting rooms.
- Made sure all delegates login and book through the Clinks website, so everyone identifies themselves.
- Ask delegates to follow housekeeping rules. Any unwanted behaviour will result in delegates being removed from meetings.
