The Ben Kinsella Trust was set-up as an educational charity following Ben’s murder in 2008. We believe that it is crucial that we invest in educating our children and young people about the issue of knife crime to try to prevent young people from becoming victims or perpetrators of serious violence.
In September 2012 The Ben Kinsella Exhibition was launched. The exhibition is aimed at children and young people from 9 to 16 years and aims to educate young people about the consequences of violent crime and how they can make smart choices to stay safe, learning about the law and thinking about peer influence. This interactive exhibition is split into a number of rooms with each room having a different theme and activity.
To date around 14,500 children and young people from schools, youth offending teams and youth organisations have taken part in workshops at our exhibition site.
