EDAS Foundation is a registered charity based in the North West of Birmingham. We provide a range of services across Birmingham specialising in social welfare, advice and advocacy, informal education and training, and the advancement of local communities. Essentially we work to build knowledge and skills to help our communities to thrive. As a grass roots organisation we maintain a strong link between specialist local knowledge and the need to be an efficient and innovative service provider.
We support access to advice, guidance, and opportunity for local people in an endeavour to promote greater social mobility and living standards. We are committed to supporting, empowering and enabling people and families experiencing multiple vulnerabilities in achieving independent living. Also to reduce child poverty by mitigating the impact of poverty on the lifestyle, health and mental well-being of families and individuals living in and around some of the most deprived and impoverished areas of Birmingham.
We deliver services at a grass roots level.Every day, we work closely with lone parents, BAME individuals and families, newly arrived families, those on low income, families with young children, those living in poor or deprived conditions, the elderly, the indebted, the unemployed and workless and those hither to described as ‘hard to reach’.Our services are open to all.
