YMCA Worcestershire is an independent charity working to transform communities across Worcestershire, with a vision of creating an inclusive future where everyone can reach their full potential.
Through our Bridge Family Project at HMP Hewell, we support fathers in prison and their families by delivering specialist parenting programmes, family support and interventions that strengthen parent-child relationships and promote positive resettlement. Our work includes parenting courses, Storybook Dads recordings, baby bonding sessions, supervised family visits, one-to-one support for fathers, and extended family events designed to help maintain meaningful family connections.
We also provide dedicated support for care-experienced young adults aged 18–25 and deliver Hidden Sentence training for professionals working with prisoners' families, helping them understand the impact of imprisonment on children and families and improve the support they provide.
