A registered local charity providing mental health support and wellbeing services within in women only space, to women aged 16 years and above living in the Wakefield District. These include: Counselling and trauma focused therapy, support services for women with multiple and complex needs, self-development and wellbeing groups, issue specific courses, Complementary therapies, volunteering and peer support opportunities.
Well Women Centre Restore Project, works with both statutory and non-statutory women who are involved with the criminal justice system or who are at risk of offending. Offering tailored packages of support, to provide a holistic non-medical approach to women’s health and well-being, with the emphasis on supporting and empowering women. The Restore Project won the Howard League for Penal Reform communities award in 2018 for their work with women in the criminal justice system.
